Getting Married for the Benefits?

Yes…I am entertained…calling you unintelligent is hardly an insult in my book…I’ve busted the chops of a lot or people on here and, in general, the people whose chops have been busted and I have come away with a greater understanding of each other…but…you, YOU, cry like a little bitch and whine that you want an intelligent conversation…bullshit pal…intelligent conversation would be discussing whether the world would have had Tupac without Handsome Harry the Hipster back in 1929…you’re thread is neither intelligent, nor thought provoking.
Why would I care about understanding you…you make that sound like it is a priority. Look, I’m all about having a good time and ragging on people and whatever…group solidarity and whatnot. It’s fun, I enjoy it.

But when it comes to a rational conversation, and you can have a rational conversation about quantum mechanics or whether Jesus was black, tactics like making idiotic little jokes, “busting chops”, or commenting on how well I know women are juvenile retreats by people who are either too lazy to think or to scared to risk being wrong.

When did I cry that you were picking on me? If anything I expressed my disappointment that some of the senior members of the site for being completely unable to engage in a discussion without resorting to petty little insults.

Uh…I did, on the first and second page. Do you need me to quote it for you?

to the practical issue of getting into trouble–

you have a point–it would be a lot of effort keeping it under wraps and a lot of risk sitting at the end of it if I was indeed caught.
to the moral issue–

I see your point, and I think it is something that would merit some consideration.
I think it would be a stretch to say that saying my mom was irrational makes her a “raging lunatic”.

–OFF TOPIC–

For some reason when I read this thread, it reminded me of friends with benefits. Not sure how I got the connection (Besides the obvious similarities with the names…)

Really? Have you ever gone to College and gotten a grant or a scholarship of some kind? If so then you need to give that shit back b/c it was your choice to go to college. Or how about getting Taxes back? Or do you try and cheat your way out of those too?
No, the scholarships that I got to college I earned though grades. Scholarships are a schools way of saying “we want you here”. I wasn’t entitled to a scholarship, I got it because I deserved it. As to taxes, I’m not sure what that has to do with anything since tax cuts were across the board and no standard was applied to their return. You can’t “deserve” something that everyone gets.

How does your wife earn that free healthcare? By signing some paperwork and sexing you up at night? Here’s a thought–why don’t they just give all servicemen an extra $250 per month whether they’re married or not. What does being married have to do with anything?
I hope someone rolls up in your house and puts a bullet in your ass b/c the Cops in your area are on strike b/c some one is trying to take their benefits away.

I’m not trying to take anything away, I’m just trying to make the system sensible.

We are not GIVEN ANY BENEFITS, WE earn our fucking way. We earn our free health care, our housing allowance and our $250 a month for being married and b/c ppl like YOU try and cheat the system WE should have that taken away?

I dont see a difference. You worked and got good grades so your school gave you money for college. We go to work and put our selves on the line so that you can sit your 155lb ass at your computer and ask if it would be a good idea to rip off the Government and its Tax payers.

As far as what a wife dose to disserve that $250 a month, try telling your kids that mommy or daddy isn??t coming home ever again. Or not see him/her for 18 months, yes it comes with the territory but that doesn??t mean they shouldn??t get compensated.

OUR Benefits are the Militaries way of saying “we want you here”. We aren’t entitled to our benefits, We get them because we fucking deserved it.

And just b/c ppl like you think its a good idea to try and cheat the system doesn??t mean its not “sensible” it means there are lazy fucks who try and take advantage of a good thing. So you can say what ever you want but you have shot your self in the foot. You dont not disserve any of the “scholarships” you got for working hard in high school any more that we disserve the benefits that we get for hard work.

There’s guys here (and women) that signed up to protect your ass while putting their ass on the line to be killed…they can tell you you’re a dumb mutherfucker a lot better than I can…

No, the point is that you get paid what you’re worth. It’s a little fucked up because the government isn’t forced to work according to demand for your service, but you get the idea.

Yes, sure…why not. Actually fuck it, why just give $250? Why not $1000. Hell, we’ll make it an even $5000. In fact, I think it is unpatriotic for servicemen to get anything less than $100,000 per year…

By the way, I think that coal miners should get equal benefits, considering their job is a good deal more dangerous than yours on average. Try telling their kids their daddy isn’t coming home. It doesn’t get any easier for them. Trust me, my best friend’s dad was a coal miner.

So how do you feel about welfare? I think it is a great institution. Sure there are lazy fucks that take advantage of the system, but so what? Ultimately it helps those who need it.

I certainly did not deserve a scholarship to Yale because I didn’t get one.

Ladies and gents… the coalminers daughter’s best friend has spoken.

Well, I was born a coal miner’s daughter
In a cabin on a hill in Butcher Holler
We were poor but we had love
That’s the one thing my Daddy made sure of
He shoveled coal to make a poor man’s dollar

And the devolvement continues apace…

Thats funny b/c if you were to ask the majority of Americans they would say we are under paid.

That might be the smartest thing you have said.

I know in China it sucks for coal workers, I bet “on average” though in the last 100 years there have been more job related deaths in the Military then in US coalmines…let me think…O yes WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Panama, Hatti, Iraq, Afghanistan…would you like me to name some more? I can. That dosent include the ones who die in accidents state side. Want to argue the point some more? O wait, they chose to mine coal right? They shouldn’t get shit so you say.

Again you cant compare the benefits the Military gets to welfare. I try to go slow for you…WE…WORK…FOR…WHAT…WE…GET.

So now you are saying that you didnt work hard enough and didnt get a scholarship? That figures, I bet you got caught cheating in high school didn’t you?
