I have been reading alot about the low carb/ketogenic diets that have been posted recently by Thib et al. They seem to be a very good way to go for improving your body composition. I do however have one query… how the HELL do you take in the required amount of “good” fats without drinking olive oil direct from the bottle? any ideas/recipies would be much appreciated.

Your main goal is going to be getting enough polyunsaturated fats. Most of your meats are going to be fairly balanced between monounsaturated and saturated fats. Take your fish oil and eat fatty fish and you should be close to getting a balanced fat intake.
I practically live on Natural Peanut Butter, Cashews, and Fish Oil Capsules. Once you get used to the burps, they’re great -lol
Seriously though, when I really upped my Fish Oil comsumption this past summer, everyone at the gym commented how full I usually looked. I can only attribute it to that.
Eat lots of nuts. Every morning I mix a quater cup each of roasted almonds and peanuts and eat them as a snack. Combine that with lots of peanut butter, eating a lot of fish, and I??m golden.
Just make sure to get nuts that are unsalted or lightly salted, or you??ll always be thirsty.

nuts, flax seed, flax oil ( i recommend the seed as it has good fibre for a low carb diet)
make sure you add olive oil AFTER you cook your food.
take fish oil suppliments, eat oily fish(mackrel, salmon for eg.)
avacados, olives[/quote]
I started the Anabolic Diet about a month ago and thought “Sweet! I can eat a couple avocados a day!” That was until I found out that per cup, they contain about 12.5 grams of carbs. That was almost half the daily alotment. They are definitely loaded with good yummy fats, but not really low carb diet friendly if your really restricting the carbs.
OP: Get used to drinking olive oil. It’s hella good for you.
