The irony of many of these policy changes is that cops will need to beat the hell out of more people aāla Rodney King to get them under control. Chokes should be trained, not banned. Knee pins are also in the crosshairs of do-gooders whoāve never had to control a person who meant them harm. Take away some of the best tools in a grapplers arsenal and guess, what? Grappling becomes less effective, so the force gets escalated.
Training and policy issues aside, the police are so thoroughly demoralized now that their effectiveness will take years to recover, and thatās if weāre lucky. Shitting on the only people who are actively preventing our major cities from becoming de-facto narco states under the control of warlords is not panning out well in the short term at all.
I donāt expect the treatment LEOās have been subjected to by the Marxists and their enablers in the Democrat party will entice a new generation of good candidates who are drawn to the work by their nature. I expect fewer and fewer of those types will see it as a good choice of career.

What else were they supposed to do? Keep in mind, the concept of a fair playground fight does not exist when it comes to criminals. The criminal comes at me with a bat, I can use a gun. I donāt have to go and get my own bat. The cops are not obligated to fight a suspect, like Rodney King, one on one and unarmed. Add in the fact that vascular restraint was not an option so even if the cops decided to make it a fair fight of sorts, they would have had to use their fists rather than their batons to beat him into compliance. So the question is, how much risk should officers take when arresting a suspect? Should they put up their dukes and fight āfairā? Would it have been better had they just punched and kicked King like Chick Norris. I mean, Iāve seen Walker Texas Ranger holster his weapon to fight a criminal hand to hand.

You should watch the video again. You try and stay facedown with hands behind your back while cops stand in a circle and take turns stomping your head and hitting you with nightsticks everytime you uncurl from the fetal position to try and surrender. Its disgusting.
Iām sure it varies area-to-area, but if you can manage to look past the rampant sexual harassment, the mean-spirited applications of excessive force against helpless drunks and the troubling delusions of personal readiness for real violence, my number starts to sound reasonable. Iād say the percentage of shitty bouncers can, in certain circumstances, be as low as seventy five percent, as long as you can give a guy the benefit of the doubt when explaining the abysmal outcomes his conduct produced.
I look forward to this new world we are heading towards where present-day bouncers become the only type of people who are willing to do the police work of the future.

Those are some good points. Is it better for public relations to beat the suspect until they stop moving instead, or maybe use a taser? Both can end in death, and conversely if it doesnāt work and the suspect is still fighting it can end with gunshots instead.
Literally stop beating him 60 seconds before they do. He was trying everything he could to surrender and instead had the everloving shit kicked out of him. There is about a 1 minute period of time where the man was beaten by 4 cops while lying prone and at times seemingly unconcious on the ground and not a single attempt was made to cuff him.

Because thatās what men with no tools to handle violence peacefully do to another man when they get in the moment. The lust for violence and dominance takes over very fast. Such is our nature, and it takes work to overcome it.
There is nothing in the rhetoric or policy of the Democrats and their Marxist leash-holders that leads me to believe that we will have an improved candidate pool for LEO work in the future. Why in the fuck would any sane, capable person sign up for a job like that under the conditions presently taking shape? I expect the beatings to continue, especially as we aggressively divert the competent and capable people with good intentions away from LEO careers.
Anything less than idealized outcomes are not tolerated by these Marxist scum and their enablers in the Democrat party, which is why there will always be riots and pressure for extreme policy. This will be true so long as the presence of Marxist extremism is tolerated within the ranks of the left.

When I last watched it a couple of months ago, I saw a man(King) who was constantly resisting arrest, trying to get up from the ground, rather than comply.
You really think he was treated that way just because he was black, rather than his actions? Plenty of white guys get beaten senseless for resisting arrest, no one complains on their behalf, because most of the time they deserve it too.
If you resist arrest one of the possible outcomes is you dying.
