Geopolitical Catch-all

Father against son, brother vs brother

But you already know my world view

Well then…!

Let’s just send all of those old, crusty Israeli Generals home; stop mandatory service; disband the Mossad; and get rid of all those nukes beneath the Negev!

Thank you Jared and Donald!

Correct me if I’m wrong, @loppar…but I don’t even think that this ā€œPeace Agreementā€ involved the most important players in the Middle East (with the exception of Israel…who I doubt are doing what I suggested above…)

Controversial new UK education guidance.

It’s widely reported, don’t need to take twitter’s word on it.

Of course not - it involved two Gulf theocracies (one which is now openly pursuing a nuclear bomb) who despite having spent billions and billions on US hardware cannot fight anyone and a tiny island of Bahrain where a Sunni dictatorship rules over majority Shiites (not counting the Indian, Pakistani and Filipino slaves).

It’s also worth noting that UAE and KSA were buddies with Israel for years, cooperating in military and intelligence spheres.

It was the worst kept secret in the ME, only brought out into the public for Trump’s benefit and to ensure commitment of US troops (and money) for a war with Iran.

EDIT: I’m just gonna put these two tweets back to back from two reality show stars:

What have I just witnessed??? We’ve really gone round the bend now.

You know the end is nigh when Kim Kardashian of all people is making serious tweets about international affairs and the President of the damn country is talking about pee testing his opponent…

Here’s a snapshot of Chinese territorial claims and escalations. I thought it was a succinct overview of recent issues for us Westerners.

She is Armenian.

Had no idea. Then again, I actively avoid anything and everything having to do with the Kardashians.

This year is a wild ride.

A very general primer for Caucusus - surnames ending in -(i)an are as a rule Armenian, -dze and -vili Georgian, while -ov and -ev are Muslim, both Shiite (Azeri) or Sunnite (Dagestani, Chechen, Ingush and other Vainakh…)

Also, Armenians are visually distinctive and recognizable (think Kim Kardasnian before surgeries) which made it easier to single them out in pogroms due to their propensity for engaging in commercial activities.

Basically, band members of System of a Down (all Armenian-Armenicans) cover all physical feature typesets one may encounter in Armenia.

So no more slavery?

Interesting unearthed clip here. Good evidence that Biden has gotten at least one foreign policy question right.

Wouldn’t our oldest ally be France?

Yes, but I suppose it dependsif you count all the blood and treasure spent on US defence before the revolution or not.

Why would I count what was spent on something that didn’t exist?

Quibble taken, and so I shall rephrase. ā€˜Money spent on keeping the ingrate colonists protected.’

They were English after all. What would you expect from a nation of shopkeepers?

I think Napoleon revealed our true greatness with that insult. What could be better than a nation of shopkeepers?

Ingrates all.
