Good Lord, I wish I was you. Which version?
Pathfinder.
Edit: This was one for the ages @Aragorn, the last combat was 4 hours long and involved 200 enemy NPCās besieging the castle we were occupying.
I am unspeakably jealous. My last gaming crew split up and moved, and there are no D/D groups left!
We were known for our absurdity. Letās seeā¦in one particular campaign one of my buddies sold his real-life wifeās character into slavery to a NPC kingās harem for a real life period of 2 months (game time 2 years), in exchange for epic level loot. She had to sit there and couldnāt do anything at all.
The look on the DMās face when he heard the offer was only slightly less outstanding than the look on HER face when she figured out he was going to let the play stand and she couldnāt do anything.
Then there was another high level campaign in which my same buddy was playing an undead campaign, as a radiant servant of Pelor, with 2 evil aligned party members (enemy of my enemyā¦) ā¦one of which was a vampire.
He was given an enchanted, intelligent, very angry, sword directly by his god early in the campaign, and was forced to run point in EVERY SINGLE scenario or the sword would attempt to take over his mind and kill the vampire. Heād have to make a Will save to avoid stabbing his party members when camping at night. The plus side was he was basically a nuclear bomb of undead turning who would crater entire villages.
Needless to say, we Munchkināed the shit out of our campaigns. We had a DM who could handle it well though, which is what made it fun.
A crucial component. Ours are less goofy than that, but some of the players wouldnāt be able to handle such epic chaos as you just described.
Iāve played plenty of straight up campaigns that Iāve loved. They actually make up the majority of my games, but that last group was probably the best for sheer hilarity
Damn youth of today.
If you derailed this thread with a little guitar vid or discussing the merit of Wild Turkey on ice, but no⦠D&D???
I dunno man, Iām in my early forties and in my time this is what we thought about people who were into D&D and LOTR:
But apparently being a nerd has gone mainstream in the last couple of decadesā¦
Are you really in the āGet off my lawn!ā stage, if you still realize you are relatively already there?
@Legalsteel @Aragorn and me

My oldest kids are tweens now so itās a pretty big shock to realize how things are different now.
And yes, I have on several occasions yelled at unruly groups of kids to keep quiet. I expect it will get worse with time.
Actually l meant me.
But it does start at your age, invariably because of children.
Lightly on topic
Did North Korea seriously ban dogs as house pets due to meat shortages,er as symbols of western decadence? Or is this a hoax?
NK is so insane that common sense based deduction doesnāt work. I remember reading in Bradley Martinās (different Bradley Martin) book about the Kim dynasty how in the early 50ies they had to choose a staple crop for NK agriculture.
Kim il-Sung personally chose maize over rice because during his exile in the USSR he used to eat tasty corn porridge. The consequences were widespread niacin deficiencies among the children and adults and the collapse of NK agriculture which was wholly unsuited for maize.
As far as I know itās legit. It boggles the mind, even though I know that there are different food preferences on that side of the Pacific
Not to mention that carnivores need meat to put on weight, while livestock literally convert plant protein into animal protein⦠geez
Debated putting this here or my infant and long lost Hong Kong thread, but this is highly relevant:
Iāve been reading Kim is in a coma for 2-3 days with sister in the wings.
Any news to confirm / deny?
wasnāt he in a coma like 5 months ago?
Theyāre still upset about JFK cucking them.
