X-Files is BACK!

Speaking of Duchovny…

Have any of you watched Californication? Some of the best writing I’ve ever seen. Fucking brilliant show, was on Showtime and not sure if they’re doing a second season. Genious stuff and Duchovny was so badass as Hank Moody.

There should be a site online - “reel” in the name, I forget the name though - that has all episodes archived. Watch it!

I guess. Cause God knows if Captain America died fighting a major villain, he would just be revived some how. The sniper bullet seems final. And this isn’t sarcasm.

See the problem is people suffer from “extreme syndrome” and “nintendo fever” a classic character like Superman, Cpatain America, and Thor have to be replaced by retarded “extreme” characters like Vengeance, Venom(carnage), and other equally dumb watered down un iconic characters it’s a shame really. Hell marvel can’t even give characters a noble death Bucky is brought back to life brainwashed and called the Winter Soldier.

Dont mean to digress the conversation but are you saying that Venom was a retarded character? Venom might be one of the most loved characters of all time. Now I havent keep up with all the “changes” Venom has gone through. To me Brock is Venom with or with out cancer. I know that Spidy got the Black suite back recently and Im sure they have done some convoluted thing with the char, but how can you say Venom is a retarded char?

So has anyone seen Speed Racer yet? I have heard some good things. going to see it asap

Very Venom is dumb and boring because every fucking marvel comic in the 90’s had him appear, yawn how many times do I have to read “spiderman I want to eat your brains.” It got boring it’s half the reason why marvel went bankrupt in the 90’s in the first place. Also Venom is only loved by the people who have never even read a comic they saw the drawing and thought he was cool end of story. True comic readers got bored with him a long time ago

I havent read alot of marvel comics in the past few years but that is all I read growing up. Once they gave Venom his own story and personality (I.E. Eddie Brock) other than the “spiderman I want to eat your brains” he was a good char. and to say that Venom is half the reason Marvel went bankrupt in the 90’s is a gross over statement. Again yes his story got convoluted but correct me if im wrong.

Didnt Wolverine get completely owned and torched a year or two ago and completely regenerate? Now that is lame!! And I didnt read World War Hulk but to end it with Sentry stepping in and being like “Well we cant have that now can we?” cop-out.

Its all opinion at this point but I would bet that most ppl would disagree with you about Venom. Comic book reader or not.

P.S. This is why I read Dark Horse. I like the Marvel Char b/c that is what I grew up with but most of the stories are dumb.

Can’t stand Wolverine either, only reason he’s still around in the Marvel U is because Byrne is Canadian. You’d be wrong about the most people disagree with me, I go to the comic store every Wednesday, and we do have a nerd round table and the majority believe Venom is a lame character. Brock started out as cool when he didn’t appear in every fucking book, his first appearence in Amazing 298-300 was great, he didn’t show up again until 314( over a year), and then agian another year before Marvel had him appear again. After that Marvel got dumb and he appeared in every fucking comic the character got played and became dull and boring. Same thing happened to Apocolyse, until Marvel smartened up and thought he’s too good a character to appear in everything and they stoppped. Fuck Eddie Brock isn’t even Venom anymore (he committed suicide) and the Scorpion wears the symboite now. Why was that done? Marvel thinks people are stupid and it doesn’t matter who wears the costume.
PS I’m a DC guy becuase they don’t treat their fans like retards

I guess thats it I like to remember Venom b4 Marvel gayed him up. But we agree on Wolverine, I never Much liked him. My Favorite Marvel char were always Iceman and Colossus. I never thought they did enough with Iceman, they always hinted at him being one of the most powerful mutants(close to or rivaling Phinox) but I dont think they went anywhere with that and one of the smartest thing they did was bring back Colossus.

That might be the one good death and rebirth they did do. I know Bucky should have stayed dead and so should Jean Grey. But then the movie came out and they didnt do anything with Colossus and they me Iceman a fairy snowball!!

The IronMan video game. Is it worth the 60 bucks?

http://ironmanthegame.marvel.com/index.php

The graphics look sick.

I would rent it and only the PS3 or 360 verson

heh the headline is…“its games like this that make Tony Stark Drink” they gave it a 3.5 and the reads gave it a 6.5

The review I read said that the combat was repetitive and the difficulty increases abruptly almost to the point where it’s unplayable.

I was going to try to rent it this weekend though and give it a shot myself.

Here’s a video review:

hehe…okay, just making sure. I agree though, Iceman and Colossus have always been two of my favorites.

On another note. I had to quit playing WOW a while back. Although I was never formally reprimanded, I was pretty close to losing my job cause of that game. Star Wars Galaxies got me in trouble too.

I always liked how Colossus was portrayed, like Ferdinand the bull, let me paint and I won’t have to kill you sort of thing, it’s how I am. They did a storyline with Iceman shortly before I stopped reading the x titles where Emma Frost(the white queen) had control of his mind and was doing things he never thought of, adding mass by takig in moistutre in the air, changing shape and the like. I remember an awesome storyline involving Thor and Loki, Loki was using iceman as a catylist to bring back the frost giants, and it fucked Bobby up he had to wear a belt to control his enhanced powers, ah memories when Marvel did good stories
