You must be new here, my tag is listed on just about ever other page.

You stopped on the first one?

You don’t even need to play the first one. This is common knowledge by now. That game hit its stride with the second game. That is why they stuck with the main character from that game instead of the guy from the first.

If this is about Assassin’s Creed:

Now that the second game is cheap/available used should I pick it up?

What does it compare to? I really liked Red Dead Redemption, Mass Effect 1&2, Dragon Age I, Fallout 3. GTA IV not so much. Could not get into the Hitman games. Recommend, or skip?

I liked ME 1&2, DA 1/2 and Fallout 3 and New Vegas. I can’t really compare it any of those games though. I just played Uncharted 2 and Assassins Creed stuff reminded a lot of the jumpingclimbing mechanics from Uncharted 2.

I think Brotherhood is worth the buy, lot of missions you can do and it takes a lot to complete it all.

From people who are in love with FPS games, I have heard it is too slow. GTA IV sucked all around to me so don’t base it on that.

I tend to go after free roaming sand box games. GTA san andreas is still one of the better overall gaming experiences I have played.

Assassin’s Creed is more about “strategy”. How do you kill the head guard with only a throwing knife without killing any of the other guards in the area?..or how do you sneak in, take out everyone in the area without being noticed and alerted?

I like shit like that.

Did you ever play the Ballad of Gay Tony add-on? I liked it the best out of the 3 story lines from GTA 4.

This no other game since maybe original Splinter cells has the stealth and strategy like Assassins creed.

Then you could also be like my stepson and be a spaz and go full frontal assault.

It has that variable and it is so fucking big it will take you well over 20 hours to beat, more like 40 to do it right.

I hate getting games that are geared for Multi-player and the campaign is beat in 6-8 hours.

X how pumped are you for Batman?

Shit man. So many of the recent SINGLE player games released within the last 2-4 years that don’t have ANY multiplayer can usually be beat in 10 hours or so…then they’ll release 10 $15 DLC’s later on to add content even though you paid $60 for the game to begin with; it’s robbery. That’s why games like Dark Souls, fallout series and Skyrim are so refreshing in my eyes…they have true value.

Examples?

Most of the games I buy and play are variable. Like GOW 3 yes it was probably about 10 hours or so, but had no complaints. I tend to like the sand box games, cause I suck at online, I mean I try but I just do not have the time to spend getting better.

Kid who works for me got Dark Souls on my recommendation, says its down right fucking evil how this game is going to be. I warned him going into though. I would pick that up if I ever break my neck or back and I am bed ridden for a month or so.

What’s the verdict on Dark Soul’s? I was thinking about picking it, but I never played Demon Souls.

Go to IGN and look at the review.

YOU WILL DIE A LOT

RPG that you have to grind out the first 20 hours to even get to a level of competency.

Not story driven, it starts and you have open world without knowing WTF you are supposed to do. BUT if you like RPG’s and you grind it out, best RPG of all time is what I have heard.

My gamertage is Jed Cooper. I played some basic multi on GoW3 last night and got raped… Too damn confusing. I think the game will be better spent working on the campaign with other folks.

Horde mode is pretty fun, I will be out of town but you can add me. My stepson is watching the house and may play with you.

djhtimbs is my tag on XBox

LoL I would love to do it, but I might end up divorced.

Right now every evening I find myself playing Rage and I am maybe 10% done with it.

This game is way to big and open and dying every 5 minutes has got to get fucking irritating.

Been on pre-order for months with release date delivery. Just waiting on the 18th.

As far as Assassin’s Creed, yeah, there are few games with type of strategy component…along with enough AI in the game to actually make it a decent challenge.

You spend much of the game running, hiding and killing.

It may not appeal to people who just like to aim and shoot…but then, I can’t relate to that anyway.

I’ve shot guns for real.
