Love Swamp Thing when it came out back in the day, the most accurate comic film out there actually. I met Adrienne Barbeau at a comic show and I remember telling her how her tits basically jump started me to puberty, she thanked me and said that I was the first person to tell her that in reference to Swamp Thing. Yeah I read instead of the aftermath with interwoven stories it’s goign to be the same people come back to life eat other people story. The great thig about Z was how it dealt with the ptsd people had and how the world was forced to change
Definitely. As they’re describing it now, it sounds more like just another zombie movie. The flashback setup with different character storylines had huge potential.
Nice. Bonus points for telling her that directly. Between Swamp Thing, The Fog, and Creepshow, she definitely played a key part in my growing up. nudge, nudge, wink, wink.
Although, what I remember most from Swamp Thing was that little Bruno pig dude. I think that was the first time I saw a midget. Freaked me way the hell out.
That’s why it was so Bad ass plus the whole thing had that dark look to it like someone was saying in the Conan thread. Swamp Thing was on non stop on HBO back in the day loved it.

Brad Pitt is not amused by your tone.
(And yes, that’s a pic of him in costume/character.)
First off I say no main stream actors should ever star in a zombie film, unless it is before they’re famous. We all know Pitt is going to survive now so where’s the fun?

Loved that movie.
And Swamp Thing 2: Born on the Bayou.
2 Was sort of a let down although Heather Locklear was in it and it got really campy. The TV series was cool in that 90’s creepy sort of way I used to watch it Friday night alone with pizza and Mountain Dew. I was/am such a nerdy motherfucker

Basically you can also have co-op drop in. So you can be playing online campaign with 4 people that can drop in and out at any point.
Yes I could see the melee getting tedious if you couldnt mod your weapons.
But who can get tired of electrifying a fucking machete and hacking off arms and heads as seen in the video.
Also it wasnt dark the whole time, I mean it was like being in Cancun during the day and fighting Zombies, and I am sure they will have night time also.
Looks like a good pacing.
Also driving a truck and running over zombies, bonus.
Ever since the first trailer, I’ve been seriously considering getting an Xbox 360 just for this game.

It is coming out on PS3 and PC. We can all share.
Now I need to decide which one to get so I can play with family or TNation friends?

I am not sure about Uncharted. I think I will try Dead Island first.
It seems as though you prefer OTS(over the shoulder)/platforming games…in fact, AC, Saints Row and Arkham City are all exactly that. Since that’s the case, in my humble opinion you would enjoy the Uncharted Games over Dead Island.
I soured on these after the second one the third is just strange and the fourth I turned off after the dude lat pulldowned a freaking airplane. Just stop making them and reboot already and let Romero write it
Basically they use voxels (“tiny atoms”) instead of polygons to animate objects, allowing incredible detail. This has been done before, but they way these guys are doing it it’s possible to use pretty smoothly on a 1000 dollar laptop.
Sounds too good to be true, and doing it with moving objects won’t be easy, but it looks pretty cool, fake or not.
Also, I just got the Symbian Anna update for my Nokia N8. They haven’t given up on us! Looks really sexy, feels lightning fast (beats my iPod touch 4G by a long shot) and they’ve got another newer version cooking called Belle, which looks even better.
I’m ridiculously happy right now. Could be influenced by this morning’s bench PR.

Funnily enough my office, which is situated pretty much on George Square where they are currently filming WWZ (they’ve replaced all our signs and traffic lights with Philly versions) was a stampede yesterday of women trying to get out at lunch to see Brad. They were triple checking their makeup and hair at the mirrors in the lifts, LOL…as if…and practically scrambling over each other all giddy. Was crazy.
We did hear lots of screaming and gunshots and American sirens which was cool but I’ve yet to catch a glimpse of hordes of zombies. Will try to get out tomorrow and snap some photos for here if I can.

Yes, that tech is actually not new. It’s been around since Wolfenstein 3d but has some serious drawbacks which is why we haven’t seen more of it in the past.

Okay that was very cool, only part I found funny was when he kept saying “hand this over” to the gaming community. MORE like sell this bitch for billions.
Edit: and then after posting this I read the post before mine. Fuck.
The other issue at hand is I’ve seen all of their tech videos that they’ve been posting for a bit now and although they admit that they’re not artists…why in the shit do they not hire an artist to render some artwork to truly show what their tech can do? Everything besides the fuckin rock in my opinion looks like dog shit and there has to be a very valid reason as to why nvidia and ati haven’t subscribed to this yet.
Yeah, storing an entire island using 64 “atoms” per square millimeter should take up A LOT of hard drives, but maybe if you repeat information, only store “atoms” on the surface of things, let hardware evolve for 10 years…
23 to 27 minutes into this vid looks promising at least.
Oh, and DJHT, looks like it was made less than amonth ago.

Actually, it might be. He has come a long way as an actor since the blow dryer swinging model in Thelma and Louise.

Could be worse. I’ll choose to watch the Resident Evil series over Harry Potter any day of the week.
