Geek S**T SEVEN

This was breath of fresh air after seeing the trailer for the latest bastardized RE movie…lol.

Oh my… zombie season looks promising. Can’t wait for the Walking Dead to start again.

Re RE6, cool trailer. Looks like, as usual Capcom is focusing more on action than horror and tension. Meh, I’ll watch others play first before spending my dough on this. Or play some Silent Hill instead.

Why can’t this untalented hack just crawl away and die someplace I stopped reading comics in the mid 90’s becasue ever clown started copying this asshats non art. He killed the Hawk and Dove book already now DC is giving him Deathstroke, Hawkman and Grifter.

I’m hoping DC is just doing this because they want to skowly kill off the new 52 and use Liefeld as their Grim Reaper. For those who aren’t familiar with this jackholes “art” here is a picture of Captain America notice the gigantic man boobies and the muscles that don’t exist in the human body, also see that since Liefeld can’t draw an “A” he had to put on some sappy ass eagle on Cap’s cowl. Ugh why did Kirby have to die and this clown still walks the earth why why why??

Riddick Pitch Black sequal photo of Vin Diesal I hope this movie is better than the last one

I liked the last one. I have the director’s cut with the added scenes of Furia where all of the male babies were supposedly killed except him. That whole story has a shit load of potential…and I can’t exactly fault them for having the balls to branch out into some real “star wars” type scenario. I can see some people not being into it…but I just can’t consider that a “fail”.

X 2, I actually enjoyed it also, I have the box set with Pitch, Riddick and the cartoon butcher bay.

I will say I hope they get a little more violent, they built a good story line with Riddick

I should backpedal a little I didn’t hate the sequal I just felt it didn’t live up to the porential of the original film which was a action/horror/physcological drama(with Diesal and the Captain basically switching roles of villian to hero).

I felt a little let down by the ending and the whole “keep what you kill” and him becoming King it just seemed a little lame. I will have to check out the extra footage as I never saw any of that I only have the original release of the DVD and I don’t think there was any special features in it.

Well the character is a true anti-hero type, so him actually “winning” the ruler of a people at the end can go against the grain. However I will say he is the ruler of a bunch of fucked up half dead people who conquer worlds.

I enjoyed both of them as well. The first one definitely had more grit and came at a time when there was a lack of new action men busting chops with more than just a pistol. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the first one. The dude has good timing and a great gravelly voice.

edit - in fact I’m trying to imagine his voice coming from the Batman suit.

The scenes they cut out are the scenes that went into more “trying to be an EPIC” territory. They avoided that in the movie release. Maybe they thought that the more story there was, the more backlash it would get as a star wars wannabe.

They weren’t long scenes…but they did show his home planet and that the leader of the Necromongers was who killed all of the first borns. I thought that was cool…so him killing him at the end had “epic” written all over it to me.

The more I have watched it, the more I get what they were going after…and to tell the truth…they did it better than Lucas as far as “space dramas” go. Lucas just has the name and the history. I would watch Riddick 10 times before episode 1.

This type of stupid fucking character was not in Riddick.

At a guess how much has been added? Sounds like it will be worth the effort getting the special cut.

I like this crack’d article it goes to show how Lucas got way too much credit for original trilogy and how the prequals in all their racist glory are his

Ouch. That article is a bit harsh on good ol Stan and Gygax. If memory serves me right Gygax had a hell of a tough time with TSR and Stan, well Stan has done a hell of a lot more than just the X-Men.

Didn’t know that about Lucas though.

I watch A LOT of directors commentary so excuse the nerdage. The only scene that really adds more is the one they took out while he is flying from the “ice world” he is on at the beginning to “Helios” (I think I got the name right). He passes out and has a vision of a woman with nice tits who tells him he is a child of furia and tells him he has a great destiny because he is the last of his people.

She tell him that all Furians can be identified by a mark ( a hand shaped mark on the chest that glows). This was all taken out of the movie version. They also removed the scene when they crawl out of fire pits on that prison world and find the space ship. One of the men sent to bring him back is a Furion and he sees the hand shaped mark on his chest.

Riddick was destined to lead…and the King of the Necromongers tried to kill him off because he knew it.

^ X did you play any of the PS3 games?

I bought one, found out it was a first person shooter and quickly lost interest.

In general, if I can’t see the person I am supposed to be at all…I don’t like it.

Shit momentary loss of brain function. I know this and forgot.

Alright, it doesn’t sound like a lot but I’ll hunt it out. Haven’t actually seen this since it first came out at the pictures so definitely due a re-watch!
