LOL.
To be honest though, GTA did that shit originally before anyone even thought of making a real game like that where you could cheat code your way into a flying car and then parachute out for no fucking reason…so they had better really come with it because to tell the truth, considering all the inspiration they had to pull from…the shit they showed had better not even be 25% of what you can do in this game just to fuck around.

I hear ya man. One thing I wish you could do is destroy buildings and have them come down realistically (think Red Faction: Guerilla). That would be so fucking cool to me.

Definitely looking forward to unleashing my inner douchebag in HD.
Holy crap that looks awesome! Honestly, that look like ridiculously good fun - and levels above anything GTA has ever done.
Another on the list.
exactly, i am having so much fun with inFAMOUS and i was never a fan of sandboxes, i guess now that’s changing.

Hows your battery life? That’s an LTE model, isn’t it? Bastard.
Have you seen the ‘leaked’ Nokia Sea Ray and the N9? The N9 looks amazing.
Damnit, I was just going to post this:
N9 with Android (for me; I know that’d be WP7 for you) would be incredible. Specifically, if the N9 was released with the newer OMAP 43xx series dual core chip (what is allegedly in the Moto Bionic and has been benchmarked), which apparently blows Tegra 2 out of the water.
If Nokia can bring this phone out to Android with qHD resolution (SLCD for me OR SAMOLED+, but nothing else) and a replaceable battery (and at least 8 GB internal plus 1-2 GB RAM)…AND LTE…I’ll be all over it. I think they can, but not sure the specifics of the deal with Microsoft. Nokia should just pump out handsets for all platforms. So far as I know, only Qualcomm’s Krait soc (on-chip LTE, dual core, I think 22 nm) is the only impressive LTE coming out next year. I won’t get a dual core phone until HTC releases a handset with that soc. I wish the Galaxy S 2 had LTE but I’m positive it won’t.
My battery life is weak (8-10 hours I think, maybe as much as 12) but I got 5 OEM batteries from the seller and, so far, I love the phone. It’s extremely snappy and the custom ROM i have is sweet–Gingerbread 2.3.4 with Sense 3.0 silver ring lock screen (slick). I just don’t like the camera; quality is weak compared to my Galaxy S. Abysmal, really. By comparison, the HTC Sensation (on T-Mobile is phenomenal).
LTE is faster than my home cable connection. I’ll try to run the speed test and get a number for you. It’s stupid fast. That’s why I bought this phone used; Verizon is bringing tiered data plans in a few weeks and this was the only way to secure unlimited LTE and be grandfathered in after tiered data is introduced. In the future, I’ll use a family member’s upgrade, buy the newer phone at a discount, and use it on my number (without altering my own contract).

I actually thought that MeeGo (or Maemo, whatever the hell is running on the N9) looks very, very good. Easily would choose that over both Android and iOS - except it lacks the ‘ecosystem’ backing that the others have.
I’m sure XDA will get Android onto the N9 hardware when it launches, but I also think this is only the tip of the iceberg with Nokia’s upcoming designs. I’m also confident they’ll be doing models up to 64gb, just to be up there with the other premium (Apple) on the hardware front.
Still, it’s an awesome and unique piece of kit. The Sea Ray looks almost as good, I just can’t help but thing that it’s not the real one they’ll be releasing, or those grey buttons on the screen are fake - because those are deal-breakers for me.
I’m honestly envious of LTE - our 3G speeds alone are spotty at best in the UK. I can only hope they’ll catch up in the next few years.
My 50mb home broadband will do for now, though.

If so - then I agree, it’s been fun.
Yeah, I don’t want to ruin it for anyone that hasn’t seen the last episode yet but the is what got me really excited for season 2.
They did it right. I just wish someone had helped them with the writing because they are NOT taking the characters as deep as they could.
They could put that shit on the level of The Last Airbender if they wanted…but instead they chose to be more commercial and generic.
I like it…but it is damn sure not “GREAT”.
That would be nice - I’m very much a noob, so many questions are left unanswered etc.
Whenever I watched the show though I tried to picture the real-life actor/characters in their place, it’s going to be a hell of a movie - if they can pull it off. Fingers Crossed.

Nokia needs to put WP7 AND Android on its phones and fire Elop. He’s been bringing them down for a long time.
I have a feeling dropping Elop and Ballmer (from Microsoft) would help reboot both of those companies in markets where they’ve been struggling
lately.

Maybe I’m becoming a major fanboy (of have been for a long time), I think MS is headed in the right direction with their upcoming line-up of products.
The Xbox is doing very well, Win 7 is a runaway success and WP7 is picking up steam, albeit slowly.
Win8 looks like it’s going to be pretty unique, and I think the ecosystem that comes from it will be a very strong one.
Do you think Elop should have stuck with Android, or perhaps going for more than one platform?

Yes to going for more than one platform. It’s the broker model, i.e. 1:M (one to many)–one hardware platform (Nokia) to multiple software platforms (Android, WP7…RIM?)
That would make Nokia a supplier of handsets once again (yes, i know they are right now), which they are well equipped for. They produce a mobile phone every 11 seconds (I did a report on them for my last class). That’s nuts, and I bet Nokia has a comparative advantage compared to other manufacturers in this regard. They’ve been in the cell phone game long enough to likely have full vertical integration of the supply chain. Plus, they even have patents on network technology to help with congestion, tech that Apple I believe has licensed (or maybe it was AT&T, but I’m pretty sure it was Apple). They know their stuff and even laughed at Apple’s antenna design for the iPhone 4; it was the design they used I believe in 2007 or 2008 and found the same problems. They’ve been around, man.
I think it was Elop’s idea for not offering Nokia subsidized, as is the norm in American telecom. If that’s true ( read it a while ago, can’t find it now) then he’s a moron because Nokia phones can retail for over $700 off contract. Otherwise, they’d be under $200, inline with most other smartphones.
Nokia’s last handset (N8?) had the best camera of any smartphone (allegedly). They can make great hardware and they are set up for this kind of large scale manufacturing. Elop’s been stubborn and dogmatic and that company needs to be gutted (top management only). Funny they are opening an office near me.
Some games I’m interested in and wondering if anyone has played at all/has any input:
Fear 3
L.A. Noire
Shadows of a Damned
Trenched
I also had to try out the new Duke coughtorrents because it received VERY low scores throughout and understandably so for “it being in development for 12 years”. From that perspective, it’s definately an awful game; but if you come into the game with an open mind and willing to give it a little slack…it’s still pretty bad, about a 5.5/10 in my opinion, although I have yet to complete it.

L.A. Noire is really fun, and it’s a great change of pace from most games. It’s not perfect but I loved it, definitely worth the buy.
Question does the newer basic XBox 360’s have internal wireless? Or do you still have to buy that stupid antenna separate?

I’m pretty excited to buy shadows of the damned, the ost is made by akira yamaoka and it’s going to be epic.
