I’ve actually done a park workout with my shirt off before, sure I was on vacation in Florida at a resort, but even then nobody called the cops on me, I would think that in a large urban area like this, the cops would have a lot more to deal with then somebody in the park without their shirt on.
Ugh the cops are not the poi… sigh, i give up
Wait, these guys never played “shirts” vs “no shirts” in sports or basketball? Really?
I have never seen someone go to jail for taking a shirt off at the park or while playing ball. Who knew?
Why do you keep on associating these people doing the workout as ball players? Because they are black? You are just as bad as the other idiots in this thread.
On point: just goes to show you how far you can get without having a gym available to you and how our excuses are worthless to these guys.
WTF? Guy, I am black and while skin color wasn’t even the primary factor in that statement, that is generally what most guys older than 10 do at inner city parks. they don’t go there to feed the fucking birds with their shirts off.
What the hell is wrong with you people?
Who said anything about feeding the birds? They are working out. I guess it is only fair for me to assume they play ball. Oh wait, now am I going to be called a racist? Can’t win either way I guess.
I’m calling you ignorant. I could care less if you are racist. You called out a black man for stating that other young men might play basketball. That is fucking retarded if you have been in any city with a population on the scale of that of a very large city like New York. That is pretty much the entire inner city culture and what it revolves around at those public places…yet you didn’t know this?
For all we know, these guys don’t play ball at all and are hockey players. I understand your reasoning as to why you think they play basketball though. However for a white person to say “they are from the hood, of course they play ball” is a racist/stereotypical comment, no? You can’t argue that on a level its not.
However it is acceptable for you to say it because you are black? Dude, I’m not ignorant nor am I racist, that’s just silly. I just didn’t think it was fair for you to assume that since they are near a basketball they play ball. It is acceptable though to take off your shirt and work out. I do that at home but not at my local gym. It’s just way more comfortable that way
K not to hop on the “omg i love prof x” bandwagon here… but the “shirts vs no shirts” comment ( i know it as shirts and skins) wasn’t in any way calling the men in the video basketball players. x commented that some people on this thread must have never seen a shirts v skins game in any public park if they’re acting so surprised at men taking their shirts off in the middle of a park…
translation: if you’ve seen or played in a single shirts v skins game, then you’re used to shirtless dudes at a park (basketball court, soccer field whatever). this isn’t a rarity.
side note: anybody know what park this is?

I also wrote, “
in sports OR basketball
” which basically implied every possible sport this can be done in…yet that idiot thought it was a racist remark.
