Not a powder but my friends (male) on the xc team swear by squirrels nut butter
Playing with my grip a little has helped with this as well as helping with better transfer of power. It did take a bit of getting used to if I am being honest (about a month to get used to the new grip).
The bottom two images are what I go for as far as how my wrist looks and how the bar is in my hands. I think it requires a bit more tucking of the elbows, but not much.
Oh yeah, I use the green orientation. Wrist has been pissy for a week or two and doesn’t seem lifting related. Shitty picking-hand technique on the guitar maybe?
I think my wife has something that’s meant to help thigh rub, might give it a shot next run. Or Vaseline. Would make a hell of a mess and probably feel gross but at least I wouldn’t be in pain. haha
Band aid makes a product that reduces chaffing.

Love this stuff. I try not to go hiking without it. You apply it like a deodorant stick in the areas where you need it. I need it on the insides of my thighs when hiking more than a couple miles.

Took yesterday off because I went and saw Black Stone Cherry with the Georgia Thunderbolts at a small venue in Western PA. Met both bands and got a fist bump and a pick from BSC’s bassist because I screamed every song they played while headbanging in the front row. Once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Great session today. Deadlift was fast and stable. Firing pattern is a bit different but I don’t mind - more legs off the floor and more ass/back in lockout. Assistance was good, really enjoying the chops for some rotation work and am hoping it transfers into my golf swing next season.
Man, that’s some nice pulling there!
Thanks! BBB work on squats really got my legs working and that went a long way for sumo deads. My ass and back normally take over way too quick and I turn them into almost RDL’s.
That’s the best. But nice deadlifts too, of course.

Another good session today. I felt horrible all day - nauseous and just off - but chugged some carbonated water and some caffeine and giggity got goin’.

I felt horrible from about Friday through yesterday evening - exhausted, anxious, unable to sleep, nauseous as fuuuuuuck. Did an inventory and realized I was significantly short on carbs and salt…this is what I get for letting my wife get a cookbook and turnin’ her loose. Normally she’s a salter but she didn’t do it this time. Anyway, I had a bunch of both yesterday and started feeling better within like 15 minutes.

Today felt wonky until about the 4th rep with 410, then everything smoothed out. Why? No idea. Every rep was fast but it didn’t feel coordinated. The heavy singles were some of my best work - fast, smooth, no need for CNS arousal. Only anomaly otherwise is that my triceps burn after deadlifts. Assistance was awesome/awful. Leg lifts are the devil’s work…apparently I should do more of them because I feel better after. Rest of the work was good, nice to push higher reps and get a bit of a burn.

Overall another good session today, felt a little thrown off with the weird schedule but I got the work done and it felt good.
If this guy spent as much time and effort as he does thinking about a 225 bench into time and effort in the gym, he probably would get 225 in no time lol
Hell, why train when you can dream and lament the fact people on a forum won’t give up the magic secret to immediately bench 225 with no effort? ![]()
I honestly don’t know why I posted this in your log. This was supposed to be on his log. I really gotta sleep right away when I get home from work lol

Today was interesting, I felt good until 295, then felt lopsided and awkward until I casually smoked 455. Put the bar a bit lower on my back for 455 and I think that helped a lot. I was tempted to try 495 because it went so fast but figured I should show some discipline and save it for another time. Kinda regretting that now. Assistance was good, really thinking I found the stuff I need to be doing to get bigger/stronger/healthier.

My elbows felt like they were gonna explode yesterday and still do today. Forced me to have a perfect groove on my bench reps, which let me hit a PR. Still hurting now but I have 2-3 days off before my deadlift and press sessions so I think I’m OK. Gonna eat up and ice up.

Hell of a session today. Slept on my stomach by accident the last two nights and it fucked my back up a bit. So I set a PR with a tweaked back. I’ll take it.
You aren’t kidding, man! Really nice deadlifting, and congrats on the PR. That’s phenomenal!
