It would have been in his favor to mention the people who have horrible hygiene…holes in shoes…etc,etc. Yet have nice cars and home in an upper class neighborhood. It’s like a homeless person who won the lottery…and bought a bunch of shit in one day.

Like c’mon man, everything doesn’t have to be some apologue about the proper way to live life. It’s funny to when you see the stereotype of a black dude living in a 700/month rental but rocking the freshest pair of shoes you’ll ever see just like it’s funny to me to see white people (aka my family) who have a run-down car and not a name-brand article of clothing to speak of barely making meet just so they can live in the suburbs.

The problem is nobody knows how to make a joke without laughing AT somebody instead of WITH somebody. When I see a black dude driving a '92 Honda Accord with a primer hood and $4000 rims, I have a little chuckle. Sorry if that says something bad about me, but I will laugh at that. However, I don’t automatically hate that dude because of that, I don’t automatically assume he represents the entire black population and it usually doesn’t inspire me to run home and post it on the internet.

People also need the ability to laugh at themselves too. If you’re white and don’t chuckle while you find yourself proclaiming how you don’t like Taco Bell because it’s not “authentic,” well then I can’t do much for you.

This whole thread is retarded. If anyone dares disagree with you, you either label them raciest or question their intelligence. Others pretend to “feel bad” for someone when they can’t dispute what they’re saying.

The bottom line is that different groups of society have their own culture. There are always exceptions, but in the vast majority of cases certain traits apply to the bulk of the group (black or white).

People base their beliefs on their own life experience, both good and bad. Asking someone to disregard everything they have learned from these experiences because it’s not fair to some individuals is just stupid.

If the only interaction a black man had with white people was having the klan burn a cross on his lawn, you would expect that he would be a bit weary of his dealings with other white people.

Same applies with little quirks and differences between groups. Everyone (on both sides) is way too defensive and taking this much too seriously.

Oh, and just because you put a Lol or :wink: in a sentence doesn’t mean you’re being less of an asshole :wink:
