so, I read through the whole thread, and I think it should be pretty clear to anyone that the OP is a) not interested in actually giving pertinent information to help his/her case, or find a solution to any problem. b) they are looking for sympathy rather than actual advise to act on. c) they are doing the bare minimum to keep the thread going, knowing that everyone else participating are actually doing all the work. d) he/she has also used an incredibly generic, unidentifiable username.
the last point is actually important to my conclusion that the person is a troll vs mentally deficient in some way. Sometimes, you see people posting on the internet who may simply have cognitive disabilities, and they come off as trolls. This doesn’t seem like that, ALTHOUGH it is also possible. I don’t think, realistically, that this could be anything other than that or a troll thread though.
To your question, though: attention/boredom, assuming it’s trolling. It’s getting a bunch of people invested in the OP for absolutely no reason.

I think it may be one of those things, but I did have the thought that OP may be looking for a muscular internet BF. Based on the title, and posting it to a mainly men’s fitness forum isn’t a terrible strategy.
The communication on OP’s part doesn’t really support that theory though, but maybe there just hasn’t been the right response yet.
Do trolls have an audience to appreciate their handy work? Or is it solely for their private enjoyment?
If they don’t have an audience they sound more like dweebs confined to their basement. No loads of society.

I wouldn’t try to understand internet trolls.
I’ve thought before on what would motivate someone to be a troll, and I can’t think of anything that would work for me. Maybe their brains work a bit different than mine or something?
In this case, I’d assume ‘dweeb confined to basement’ is about right.
You also have a lot of phishing from bored/lonely dudes in less affluent countries who start threads/conversations like this. It’s a source of entertainment, I guess.
@RT_Nomad people commonly consider “trolls” as in the bridge troll type deal, when in reality it’s more like the fishing term - as in “dragging something shiny along waiting for something to bite”.
Their motivation is often for attention, or serious lack of societal contribution on their part. So they pop up trying to stir the pot because it still gives them a small hit of societal contribution, despite doing the opposite.
This hits it pretty head-on.

A good troll thread brings everyone together in a way that a serious topics and funny topics just can’t match.
The curmudgeons say their most curmudgeonly shit, jokers break out some jokes, nice guys try to help out.
Everyone who sees it and takes part is the Audience, and they all get to enjoy it together.
In the old days, having multiple accounts and a couple over the top troll “characters” was a normal part of discussion boards.

That must have been before I got here, but even those screen names seem “extreme.” Like dudes posting as over the top versions of their real selves.
When I started up here, I guess there had just been a lot of changes, and maybe a lot of the old joker types got eliminated? Anyway, it seemed like everyone was trying to be like extra authentic and “real.”

So, long story short, I can say with 100% certainty that Count Rock is a real human who was actually who he said he was on here (I have met him in the real world), and I’m 95% sure Ninjaa was real, but I can’t say for certain because I didn’t actually meet her. Count Rock described himself as a 350 lbs+ black pro wrestler, and it turned out he was actually that. But a LOT of people were just absolutely certain he was a bullshitter, and that Ninjaa was his second account.
It’s funny how this stuff goes sometimes. Sometimes, the trolls aren’t actually trolls!
