How many of you would buy a SUV if purchasing one would involve a six-month stint in Iraq?

What if freedom of speech had the same cost?

Sorry to have to say this, but I’m sick of hearing “How would you feal about ______ if you had to go to Iraq for Six months/year/decade to get it.” I think that is a weak pathetic remark. It would be just as easy to say “the only way you can open your mouth and state your opinion is if you go to Iraq for six months.” Personaly I have no problem with this idea. At least the people spewing there opinion had the guts to defend their right to free speach, rather than setting at home telling everyone how they would save the planet.
Now, I’m sure that a bunch of you are saying “I did my time”. To that I’d like to say…
Thank you, you are the reasons I can go out, live up to my potential, and speek my mind. But for every one person who has put there life on the line to defend my freedom there are 100 others who serve absolutly no purpose in life other than to degrade everything you risked your life and famaly for, for no other reason than they think they could do it better from there couch.
Now the second point that i’m sure to hear. No, I haven’t done my time. But, because of those who have, i can set here on my A$$ and spew my opinion out for the world to hear.
Sorry brunoG, This isn’t about you. I’m sorry in advance if this makes you angry. You just hit a pet peave.
