Monday 9th July
Deadlift day - work to 1RM on deficit pulls
60kg x some
80kg x4
100kg 2x1
120kg x1
140kg x1 - so fast
150kg x1 - easy
160kg x1 - a bit slower
165kg x1 - fast
170kg x1 - slower but still decent, matched all-time competition PR from a deficit
175kg x1 - 5kg all time PR, from a deficit. FUCK YEAH. Quick off the floor, slowed at the knees but finished it.
Chest bruiser rows
90kg, 50 reps as quick as possible. Just blasted through these.
Plate pinches
Lots to failure.
I’m so fucking ecstatic with my deadlifting tonight. 180kg pull could have happened tonight from the deficit. 5kg all-time PR.
Wednesday 11th July
I think I forgot to mention that I’ve now got a job. Unfortunately the hours are pretty annoying as it’s usually from 12:00 until late, forcing me to either wake up early or train late. So this has been fucking with my schedule, as I’m not training at 2:00 in the morning if I have a late shift.
Anyway:
Squat Day
I forgot to put on my knee sleeves beforehand and my left knee wasn’t very happy with me. I will have to remember to put it on about 15-20 mins before to warm it up properly.
60kg x5
80kg x3
100kg x1
120kg x1
130kg x1
140kg 5x1
Oly pause squats
100kg x2
110kg 7x1, v. short rest periods.
And a couple of motorbike pulls.
I’m really struggling to get in enough calories on the job. I will think hard about solutions. On the bright side I pretty much have unlimited access to semi-skimmed milk so I’m drinking a fair amount of that. I may have to make a little baggie of whey and oats or something, and add milk when I want it.
Late night training sounds gangster as fuq. I’d definitely do it.

get hip
I’ve done it before and it’s great, as long as you’re not shattered from the day’s work. And accept the fact that you won’t sleep well that night. lol.
Thu 12th July
Bench (Morning training)
Close-grip bench
40kg x5
50kg x6
60kg x6
70kg x6
80kg x6
85kg x6 - probably a PR
Close-grip incline
70kg 3x5
Wanky session today.
Friday 13th July
Squat day, morning training. I’d taken 400mg of caffeine upon waking.
Squat - work to daily max, then 5x1 back off singles.
I currently have knee tendonitis so squatting was very painful, especially the descent. So again I put on knee sleeves and got to work.
40kg x10
60kg x8
80kg x5
100kg x3
120kg x1
130kg x1
140kg x1
147.5kg x1 - PR. I was absolutely destroying every rep, fast and light as fuck, despite the knee pain. So I took the PR, which moved well. I have a video which I’l’ put up in a minute.
130kg 5x1 - possibly the five best reps of 130kg I’ve ever done, so fast and light.
I was really hobbling around for the rest of the day, but it was worth it. Great session.
Skip to 1:12, I forgot to trim the video.
You also forgot to make it work apparently. trollolol

Do you have a partner help you chalk your shoulders?

Nope, I do it myself. Everyone seems to fuck it up lol.
Sunday 15th July
Deadlift day - work to 1RM from floor (test day)
Feeling good going into this session - aim was 180kg for a 10kg PR.
60kg 2x5
80kg x4
100kg x3
120kg x1
140kg x1
160kg x1 - fastest 2xBW pull I’ve ever done
170kg x1 - strong
180kg x1 - I FUCKING DID IT. This was one of the goals I’d set 2.5 years ago when I first started lifting.
And a few BW back extensions.
I was probably good for a few more kgs but I called it there, as I was emotionally spent.
Nice. Now just add another five kilos to the bar and you’ll have the 'murikan rendition of the four plate pull under your belt (pun intended).

This is Euro Training brah!
Solid lifting, the squat PR looked really smooth. Plenty kgs left in the tank.

Optional session, anything I want
Started off with squats, 60kg for 10 reps.
Then did loads of light oly lifts, and one-handed shit, and some curls, and some pressing.
Main highlight was doing a no-handed clean and jerk, like this:

Overhead day
Plenty of random overhead shit to warm up, had a bit of a pump going by the time I hit the work sets.
Klokov press
working up to
50kg 5x5
60kg x1 - true 1RM, real grinder.
30kg 3x15 - brutal delt rape, short rest periods
Also did some BTN jerks and BTN push presses but nothing worth logging.
Chins
5x10
Plate pinches
lots to failure. I’m already noticing a strength increase on these.
And some rotator cuff stuff.
