Anyone else see it yet? It was kind of a let down, I was expecting a lot more in the blood splattering gore department. There were some awesome boobies in it though.
Still a good flick, if you are a fan of the series you definitely should check it out. I guess it is a remake of the first three movies or so, I really don’t know how to classify it.
Again, I was expecting to be showered in blood and guts, but most of the death scenes were pretty tame. I don’t know if this was intentional or not, but I think that if the director was a real purist of the series, he would have drowned the audience in gore.

It’s supposed to be a remake of the first 4-5 Fridays or something, but it nowhere nearly approaches the level of gory, bloody, brutalness of them.
Yes, it is the same plot: Bunch of stupid college kids get chopped up by Jason, but I don’t think there is really anywhere else Friday the 13th movies can go.
If you liked Jason vs Freddy, then you probably won’t like this one. JvF was a goofy comedy type slasher. This one isn’t.
I see why the purists are so upset, this movie didn’t deliver the brutalness of the first 5. It’s just good to see Jason on the screen again. He really did look great running at stoner college kids swinging a machete over his head. And he is pretty handy with a bow and arrow too.
As the biggest Friday the 13th fan, I really liked it. They did a great job. Top notch nudity, top notch killing (Jason is a better shot than Rambo), and top notch audience reaction.
I enjoyed this one. Has everything it needed to. Also, I thought the gore was about right, could have maybe been a touch more vivid, but pretty good. Nice boobage as well.
