The fact remains that the conservative partys of all nato countrys other than the US are left of the democrats. In Europe politicians arent asked what they think about gitmo, or where they stand on evolution, prayer in school, abortion, stem cell research or gay marriage…[/quote]

Great point. Foreign elections usually mean very little as a validation or repudiation of our policies.

I think most of us expected the little thugs to riot. I know I figured they would. The problem, for most of us, was that they would riot after a democratic election, and specifically because of that election. I hope it’s a short lived attitude. I’d hate to see such an anti-democracy attitude grow. Their is political avenue set for change. Their choice to ignore that, and use violence and chaos, makes them thugs.
