The one time in my life when I had outrageously high free T was the one time I tried pellets(Testopel) in 2014… When I went to see my urologist after a month he showed me the labs. TT: 1054. Free T: 764 E2: 54, DHT: 54. We tried pellets because months of injections weren’t doing anything. Presenting my labs, he was eager to hear how I was feeling/functioning. I told him I didn’t feel anything. His demeanor sank. He felt so confident that with such a high free T, my depression would abate and I’d have great erectile function. He’s still my doctor and we’re still trying to get me to some degree of sexual function. I think about that experience as I still struggle. My last labs @100 mg, Test E IM, weekly was TT:1000, free T 225, E2 54.(ultra sensitive)
I’ve always been reluctant to use an ai, though my doctor gave me a script. Yes, there can be other factors but I keep thinking that significantly bringing down E2 might be the key to restoring my sexual function.
I’m considering 200 to 300 mg subq every ten days on the thought that it might give me a high free T along with slow release similar to pellets, along with 1 mg anastrozole every 10 days. My doctor still asks if I’d be interested in another try at pellets. Bio T/E pellets are much higher dosage; 200 mg I believe. Testopel is 75 mg. My doctor also purchases compounded pellets from Empower.
Not soliciting opinions about pellets. For some they work and for some they don’t but there are doctors who’ve built their practice around pellet therapy and have many satisfied patients. Maybe with a subq half life of 240 hours, I can create a similiar state, along with managing E2.
