I’m curious how would you word an observation like something a long the lines of “most ceos of major entertainment divisions are jewish” ? that’s not so bad right? but if someone says “the jews control Hollywood” people lose their shit but they kinda do yeah? Or how about someone’s observation that all over the world “africans” seem to be in socioeconomic peril. How are you supposed to word these personal anecdotes without offending?
Stereotypes don’t just manifest themselves from thin air. Some if it is based in truth.
I remember one time someone made a comment about how asians cannot fucking drive. The one vietnamese friend of ours agreed with us, and said his mom was the worst driver he had ever seen but he went on to explain that her, and all her friends that migrated over never drove a car in their lives and all of them rode bikes until they came to the states. Makes perfect sense, doesn’t it?

The point being, if someone were to be reported for making antisemitic remarks, he would have the opportunity to defend why he made those remarks.
