My wife and I, our daughter, Chrissy, son-in-law, Ryan and granddaughter, Gianna arrived at the beach on Saturday afternoon to begin a week-long vacation. We are staying in a two bedroom beach-front condo with a spectacular view of the Gulf of Mexico.
I am here “off season” from bodybuilding and am enjoying the sun, local cuisine and occasional brew. Nice. I will go to the World’s Gym in Panama City Beach for a light workout each day to burn off the extra food I am having a blast eating. I am working on my non-Dream Tan tan with real sunshine and will return to my job at the Birmingham YMCA next week looking fit and dark. I’m in heaven.
Monday, August 4, 2008 - It’s time to get back to work!
Weight: 152.0 (Contest weight - 140.0)
I have enjoyed a great month off from dieting and heavy training for competitions. My “vacation” included free-from-worry eating and a week at the beach. My weight training has been light but fun, nothing too heavy.
Now I am starting a lean mass gain training regimen that will take me to June of 2009, when I will once again done my posing suit and step up for a Pro Competition, probably the 2009 FAME Canadian Nationals in Toronto.
My goal is to be as cut and conditioned as I was this year but 5-8 pounds heavier. I will up my calories, while controlling my fat. I want to stay in shape, not turn into a soft donut. I’ll start a daily training journal when it’s the right time to do one.
Are you looking for general lean mass gains only or do you have any body parts that you percieve as lagging that you want to develop in the coming year?

Thanks. I enjoy this forum and I like the great men and women who post here.
I am honored to once again represent the senior circuit of the World Natural Sports Organization (WNSO) on one of their show posters. This is the 2008 FAME Masters North American Championships poster for the contest in Miami, Florida, October 31 - November 2.
