It’s the shit the right has been spooning out these past 8 years. I can’t tell how many times I’ve had to put up with the “If you don’t like America, leave” shit whenever I criticized the Bush administration. And I am not alone.
The right, devoid of ideas, could come up with nothing better.

There was not a whole lot that was " the right" about the Bush administration.

Nonsense.
*Cut capital gains tax
*Increased defense spending
*Postured against gay marriage and other social decay
*Roberts & Alito
*Partial-Birth Abortion Ban
*Pro death penalty
*Anti Kyoto
*Tried to privatize SS
Now the very people who spent their time cheerleading for the Bush administration are finding it convenient to dissociate themselves, pretending to be “true conservatives” with sound ideas that have yet to be tried. If only the world would listen.
-Didn’t balance the budget
-Pushed the CRA crap (that’s not conservative, period)
-No child left behind (ugh)
-Medicare, prescription drugs expansion (an entitlement expansion…)
-Dept. of Ed. still exists.
-What entitlement program doesn’t exist anymore? Or, at least recieved a severe cut?
-A hike in spending for the NEA…THE NEA?!
-Big foreign aid wealth transfers
-Tried to engineer amnesty for illegals

well I will support the president unlike the left has in this current CIC’fs tenure.
My congrats to P.E. Obama.
I may take to blame him when it rains and the for anything else but I quite sure he is in a can’t miss sitch, taking all credit and diverting all blame to Dubs.
God Bless America.
This lowlife piece of shit will never have my support and will never be my president beyong formality of law. Too much blood and treasure has been spent keeping us free from scum like this.
Ridiculous. If ANYONE had written the same about Bush, they would be called unpatriotic.

Indeed. I don’t like Obama, and did not vote for him, but he’s president now. Deal with it. I don’t believe in “honoring” the president, we’ve had too much deference and worship of the office in the last fifty years, and especially the last eight, that is part of our problem. But I do believe in acknowledging the reality of who my fellow Americans have elected. The guy is “scum” because he happens to have differing economic views from you, and loves affirmative action, abortion, and a host of other bad things? Whatever happened to civil debate in a democracy?
