I agree 100%. A lot of my friends will do incredibly stupid things like this, whether they’re drunk, bored, or just flat-out stupid. I warn them UP AND DOWN against potential hazards.
So people who do shit like this know of the potential hazards. I know the potential hazard of dropping hundreds of pounds on my throat when benching. I accept it.
Thus, no one ought feel bad for this guy. What did he really have to benefit by doing that, anyway?

I mean, I am against censorship in most forms, but subjecting yourself to images that in large amounts over long periods of time could possibly cause someone to go insane can’t be good in the long run.
Could you imagine the damage of having a constant loop of things like this, beheadings, and loss of limbs shown to a 9 year old?
I only ask because these “look at this gross video!” threads come up a lot and the same people seem to flock to them.
When I first entered this thread I opened the link in a new tab and then thought for a second what I might see so I quickly closed it. I’m glad I closed it now. Who would have put something like this on the internet for everyone to see?

I don’t think most of us are 9 years old. I wouldn’t show this to my kids (if I had them.)
It just like violent video games. Some people have the ability to determine whats real and whats not. Though these types of videos do gross me out and make me cringe, it’s not like I think about them for more than a few seconds after I have closed the window, except maybe when I am thinking of jumping off something high, ha.
It’s one of those things where you don’t want to watch, but at the same time you can’t stop yourself from watching.

Fair question. In this case though, I think watching something like this is just for the “how can this even happen”. From a medical standpoint, I’ve never thought I would see someone like that, let alone still alive.

Prof X. My older cousin showed me the original “Faces of Death” video when I was like 12-13. I remember seeing a guys penis getting cut off via wooden axe and a man getting his arms tied and mutilated by two horses running full speed in opposite directions.
Yes I’ll attest to these things looping in my head at times. It makes me question my sanity at that moment.
Why do I watch it you ask? It reminds me more and more how fucked up, cold and cruel this world can be by nature of tyranny and the unexpected.
