Great thread. I spent a little money a few years back and hired a nutritionist to help me prepare better meals that were higher in protein less carb and better fats. I am 67 and pre-diabetic with an A1C running from 5.6 to 6.4 I am also on TRT and go to the gym 5 days a week. Bodybuilding is a hobby but at my age, I have to be very careful. Anyway, I’d like to share a few dishing I cook every week.
Pacific COD baked using almond flour.
Standard beef liver and onions
filet mignon grilled withcoarse black pepper
Chiken breast baked with almond flour
Typical 3 whole egg breakfast. This is my pre work out meal and the highest in carbs.

Here’s the final product!
Cut the smoking short bc tube was literally melted shut Lol still got a decent flavor though. Better than store bought imo, but I’m biased of course. Now just need to learn how to carve it properly
I think it looks Great. You mentioned chemistry class but you are so inventive what degree are you going for? Engineering I hope. I’m a retired Aerospace Engineer.
My HS chem teacher was very permissive and let me (and sometimes helped me) experiment in class. He actually interrupted a lecture to help me adjust the temperature of a water bath I was cooking scallops in.
Thanks! When I was little, I liked cooking but parents didn’t want to invest in proper equipment and sometimes I wanted to try advanced techniques, so I got used to improvising. Actually wrote my personal statement for uni about it
No, I’m studying behavioural Econ, Econ and possibly psych or decision science
Although, You could say I’m learning to engineer ppls behaviour
It’s standard form to clarify when you post pics that you didn’t take of meals you didn’t make. You made something like what’s in the pic? Cool. Just mention it.
