Food Porn Thread

So after that brief debate in another thread I tried my hand at salsa.

It turned out ok. I’m gonna have to explore this world a little more because I can’t find any on the shelf with less than 150 mg. of sodium per 2 tablespoon serving.

This stuff clocks in at 82.5 per cup. :relaxed:

Screw salsa, all I can see is a perfectly cooked steak :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Thank you.

But That’s a funny way to consume it… :joy: I heated it up with a generous splattering of sriracha too!

The steak (NY strip) was done on the griddle, very hot, flipped, shut off the flame, then just let it sizzle a little. Seasoned with chili powder and oregano.

:relaxed:

This is what dinner looks like nowadays, but today I just thought it looked even better than usual, so I figured I’d share this pic with you guys.

Sweet potatoes, lean ground beef, green beans, and a sprinkle of low sugar sweet chili sauce. Delicious. I am so grateful for this food.

Add some black bean sauce into the cooking process, and I would become a rice eating monster.

Nice job regardless. Who cooked that?

Me. My mom can’t cook so I’m in charge of meals. She does prep stuff
This one is my dad’s “recipe”

I’m impressed.

But…you know your mom is just faking it, and that she’s just making sure you have the requisite skills to reel in a future husband?..Zing!

I’d like to think that, but she thought sauteeing mushrooms with romaine lettuce was a good idea when there was half a bag of spinach in the fridge

Well my face certainly isn’t going to do that , so why not ? Do you know any jews who like red braised pork? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Ouch. :slightly_frowning_face:

My latest submission to offend a region of Europe , black forest chocolate shake:

As shown, I used Juicy Juice cherry stuff, an unnamed chocolate pro powder, and some basic cocoa from the baking aisle. It actually turned out pretty nicely with an extra couple tsp. of cocoa powder added. The cherry is very candy like because it’s kids juice. Overall though, pretty good. And 30 g. protein.

Added the cocoa while it was in motion on the shake maker to avoid clumping. I think a dollop of whipped cream and a cherry would have been cute too, but don’t have any on hand.

First Italy, now Germany! You’re getting WAYYY too brazen :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
Just stay away from Eastern Europe or I’ll personally report you… (I know people…)
With that said, I came up with a ‘Black forest cocktail’ a while ago

No one would ever mistake using juicy juice as authentic.

But hey, we’re back to back World War Champs! If they’re offended, they can settle it at our next one!

That is an interesting cocktail that my wife might like, but I abstain.

Great minds though… :joy:.

Well… Oktoberfest was canceled so that leaves a bunch of strong young men who **won’t ** be too drunk to fight a blatant insult to their nation’s culinary heritage
Throw in the women who can carry 8 steins of beer in each hand and you’re in for a fight :joy:

They’re all drinking quorn and styling each other’s manbuns. :joy:

Simple sushi rice and white fish pre workout meal with a small twist. Added a sprinkle of this “sushi rice condiment” that is made out of rice vinegar and sugar and man, does this thing taste like the rice you get at sushi restaurants. I love it.
