I’m a starting to think you may have a fungi addiction… Or perhaps obsession…
I needed something to do when I got sober. So I already knew a fair bit about trees, and was sentenced to 4 years on a mountain bike, so all I had to do was learn about the relationships between them, seasonal occurrence, weather effects, and which ones will kill ya.
22 years later, still sober.
. Must have worked!
And they taste SOOO good!
I’m a fan of the shrooms as well. I’m actually pretty fascinated with the variety and the endless uses for them. I watched a documentary about them and decided that lions mane is something I need in my life. And perhaps microdosing.
Although, to be fair, my husband has forbidden me from all mind altering substances. Micro or otherwise. It’s a bad scene.
It tastes like ass. Even the tea.
Best thing I found that covered the taste was peanut butter and hot chocolate.
Lame.
I’ve been on that scene!
There are some interesting benefits coming to light. None greater than the walk you take to get them though.
“Medicinal benefits” :
.
I’m gonna recreate this tonight.
Nope. He is 100% justified. He is not a fan of babysitting and I for sure need one in those situations. ![]()
Supposed to be good for your brain. 1) I can use all the help I can get. 2) mom has Alzheimer’s. Any little bit helps.
I enjoy the oddball in you…

Couldn’t wait.
Some beef from the other night, maitake, teriyaki pocket.
Its about twice as good as I thought it would be. Samurai Food for sure!

How do you shape your loaves so well
Before it rises, I cut them into approximately equal segments (3) then roll them out (like a log, not rolling pin) into equal length.
Then braid, mist with warm water, and let rise in the upper oven with the light on.
I’m also a tad ocd (see pepperoni wedges above) You can use a scale to do it by weight, but I just eyeball it.
Edit: Actually, now that I’m thinking about it, I roll them several times. I let them relax between rolls so that I don’t have noodley stretched lengths or skinny lumpy hoagie buns.
Probably most importantly- I only show off the nice ones. If they are messed upI just eat them.
Right out of the oven with some softened butter, those whole loaves don’t stand a chance.
