Food IS Important.

Okay well I’ve been sitting around 171 pounds for the longest time ever, and since im training 7 times a week it doesnt help if I want to gain weight. I’m a LEAN lean 171 pounds, and I’m 5’7 so i look pretty damn built…but still 171 pounds…and i want to be heavier. I RECENTLY started eating a lot mroe food…cause i’ve finally realized and its clicked in my head that MORE FOOD is definaetly a key to success.

I guess I got caught up in the whole…you can train hard, and not eat that much food but make FANTASTIC gains…prisoner’s do this, and all that kinda stuff. So…since i AM really lean…and since i train cardio 4x a week…beause of MMA training (groundfighting, boxing etc.)…i realized that i deifnatly needed to UP my calories…now I’m not really paying attention to what I eat…

I make sure i get lots of fruits and veggies in through the day…have around 6 protein shakes, eggs, lots of hamburgers, lots of bread, ltos of peanuts, lots of PANCAKES with syrup…a lot of kinda like JUNK FOOD…but damn I’ve gained 6 pounds now…I’m still lookin the same leaness I’ve had before…(I also take fish oil caps 6x a day)…and i feel A LOT stronger and better overall…

so HOORAH for food…everyone who thinks they cant gain anymore weight…just serisouly start eating A LOT FUCKING MORE lol…I’m gonna climb up to 190 pounds, and I can’t wait for it. I’ll see if I can post some pics too in the physique forum! BUT THANKS to everyone on this site who’s repeatedly said…EAT LOTS OF FOOD! THe end, thats all i had to say lol

That’s great, dude, congrats. I had the exact same experience. Felt really stupid afterward, as it seems I should have known eating more food causes one to gain weight.

That’s all you should have said then…

dl-, you’ve never read any of Prof X’s posts, have you? :-p

Uh…not to be a complete smart ass…

But you weren’t really THAT surprised that eating more food makes you gain weight were you?

Why not just go on a clean bulk to ensure that leanness will remain as you gain weight? It may take you a bit longer but IMO it will be well worth it.
