Stronk!! BIG work out!! Way to go!!
Enjoy your champagne frenchie!
I’m enjoying a bottle of cab with a large salad followed by rare steak and steamed broccoli. Then probably ice cream!

You should’ve video taped this pause in the hole with 185. That’s pretty impressive![/quote]
I did tape them - first time in 3 months. Funny thing is although they felt really deep - pause and all I’m not as deep as I’ve gone on lighter weight. I’ll have to practice and stretch more. But I will poste those vids non the less and await your critical assault
(just teasin). I’m always open for improvement. It’s how I got this far.
haha I didn’t mean to post them to critique. I just meant so people can oooo and ahhh at them. haha
Aw thanks Maschy - Honestly now that I’ve “allowed” myself to eat - good foods, but no restriction, the lifting has gone much easier. On the other hand I’m dealing with 10 extra pounds. Everyone has their own goals I suppose.
Nadia - thanks for dropping by, and the heavy GM is to help with th squats- I’m a folder and the GM help me keep a nice strong arch.
Nikki- agree on the colored contrast:) Mexican turned out to be so-so. I’m rather difficult because I’ve had such good food before. I’d rather take a hole in the wall that makes the genuine stuff over the commercial popular places. This was more a commercial popular place. Very mediocre. The company and mojitos (had 3) were fantastic.
Alpha - drunk frenchie is funny, fun, loud and giggly until she crashes and burns and falls asleep in a corner somewhere. And if I’m especially tired and drunk this whole story can happen within an hour. But tonight is a good night. 2 glasses of champagne. 3 mojitos and some more champagne in my PJ’s as a nightcap while I catch up. I’m making up for being so damn good all week.
thats coyote
coming from you that’s a hell of a compliment!
soldog: if you ever want to catch yourself a frenchie just serve exactly that: good wine, rare steak, a little green veg and ice cream!!! your supper trumps mine. except maybe for the mojitos. those were pretty darn good.

no worries if I sound bitter it’s due to my own disapointment. They just felt so nice and deep and to see them on vid as barely breaking parallel, well it’s frustrating. But I’m sure you know what I’m laying down.

hey - barely breaking parallel is what you want! now let’s see 'em…
140x2 - Oro reminded me that competing at a meet means keeping my feet flat. I will need to relearn once again. oh bother.
videos are notorious for not showing the actual depth but his seems to be legal, if just. If you are competing, be aware that you have a 60 second timer counting from the time they call your name to the time you rack, by the time you finished you were at 2:44…
It was a near max attempt and the fact that you hips started up first causing a slight “good morning” action showed that. to try to correct, keep pushing those elbows forward. In fact, start with them as near to vertical as possible, then when starting out of the hole push then forward and even try to push the bar up as if you are doing a “behind-the-neck” press. The bar won’t move off your shoulders but the impetus will be UP especially with your upper body.
Anybody else - feel free to call bullshit on me but this is what has helped me the most.

compared to my pre-relearning days in March for those new to my log.
Your squatting skillz have improved vastly!
as have your video skillz…

Nice arch! and, yes depending on the rules of the organization sponsoring the competition, your feet need to be flat and you butt on the bench both of which will affect you arch and your bench style.
^^That’s hilarious
Wow N, you definetely killed it. That 140x2 looked WAY too easy.
And you unrack the BB on the bench? I wonder what you could do with a spotter who unracks the bar for you…

I hear you on the folding. It’s been my biggest issue with the heavier weight. Here’s 155 I did back in August. I’m folding like crazy on this. Elbows forward is my new mantra.
