Snaps: I’ve dated some insecure idiots who would have blown this incedent way out or proportion and loaded me with a guilt trip from hell. Somehow this must have incrusted in my brain cause I always gets antsy but turn out pleasantly surprised. you’d think I’d have figured that out with my husband after 10 years but some shit sticks longer than others…
anywho good news, turns out the customer screwed up so I didn’t get to work on my day off. win win for me!

135 - total fail! lost my balance for some reason and just couldn’t bring the damn thing up. fell on my ass, got ready to dump the bar on the safeties only to see that I had fallen on an angle and the bar was not going to reach it. I didn’t hurt myself but I was totally stuck and had to sit there until someone gave me a hand. It took the trainer STANDING RIGHT BESIDE ME! (working with a customer on the leg press) a full 3 minutes before he realized he should give me a freakin hand. sheesh. Lost my game head and moved on.

40lbs 1x1, 1x2, 1x1 - PR + 5lbs. the set up was harder than the actual pressing. I did those seated to make sure I was not pushpressing them.
glute & ham raise 3x12 - added a few reps from last time. I’ll start adding weight next time.

Today’s workouts were inspired by Alpha’s new workout program. Holy shit the intensity! you must have heard me swear for the last 1.5 hours. I love it! Don’t know if I’ll be able to hit it like this all the time but I’ll certainly give it a couple of weeks run to see if I can.
Heavy ass - low reps Giant sets
1a deads 7x3 155lbs 1st set, 185lbs for the other 6. This was tough as hell for me.
1b snatches 35lbs 7x3 each arm
1c v-twists 7x10 each side 5kg medecine ball
2a barbell row 95lbs 7x3 - hard for me.
2b barbell bench 95lbs 7x3 - too easy will add weight next time.
2c pushups on medecine ball 7x3
3a face pulls 35lbs 7x5
3b straight bar cable tricep pushdowns 55lbs 7x5
I am sore and sweaty and happy.

Supper: shrimp and veggie stirfry
bag of frozen raw shelled shrimp- thawed
small baby eggplant
handfull of snap peas
a couple of baby bokchoy
3 cloves of garlic
3 kafir lime leaves
1 tbs of vegetable oil
1 tbs of peanut oil
1/2 a fresh chili pepper
2 tbs of soy sauce
2 tbs of rice vinegar
1 tbs of fish sauce
a bunch of roughly chopped fresh basil and cilantro
salt and pepper
heat up vegetable and peanut oil in pan at medium high heat. Add the kafir leaves (I buy mine dry) and garlic to flavour the oil. Add the shrimp. Cook for 1 minute. Add vegetables, chilli pepper, soy sauce, rice vinegar and fish sauce. toss well. Cook until shrimp are pink and veggies are cooked through, probably 4-5 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Throw in basil and cilantro. mix well.
serve with pretty asian bowls and chopsticks.

That last workout looked like one hell of a workout. It’s always awesome to have those days where you really push hard and feel like you acomplished something great.
today’s a conditioning day:
Sprints on treadmill
2 minute warm up at 3mph
2x 15 seconds sprint at 8mph. rest 15 seconds
2x 15 seconds sprint at 8.5mph. rest 15 seconds
4x 15 seconds sprints at 9mph. rest 15 seconds
4x 15 seconds sprint at 9.5mph. rest 15 seconds
2x 30 seconds sprints at 10mph. 30 seconds rest
4 minute warm down at 3.5mph.
abs: Hitting the punching back with a 12lbs exercise stick for 15 minutes.
notes: Haven’t smoked in a good while and my lungs are coming back, next time I’ll start the sprints up at 9mph to keep the intensity up.
fyi: I simply jump tp the sides of the carpet to rest on jump right back on at full speed so rest time is true rest time.
I felt I could do more but I had to remind myself that this is supposed to be an quick day so I can be refreshed for my heavy lifting tomorrow.
