Hello, new member here. Had blood tests that revealed low T back when I was about 25 but did not want to start TRT at that young of an age and really did not suffer from any of the symptoms other than some mood issues. 35 now and am starting to suffer from fatigue, difficulty building muscle, and joint pain, a little bit of insulin resistance, among other issues.
Anyway, planning on getting some new labs this week and if the labs indicate low T again (which I suspect they will) I may start TRT at this time.
I read the stickies, including the one on finding the right doctor which was a great start. Luckily I am in Florida and it seems like there are TRT docs/clinics on every corner. I did some searches on this site and it seems like there are some great doctors in Florida. The ones that seem recommended are Dr. Saya at Defy medical, Dr Jeffrey Dach and K3Now in Tampa.
These clinics appear to offer the ideal therapy of multiple test injections per week + hcg + an anti estrogen. Does anyone else know of any other good clinics to consider in Florida? Tampa or Orlando are ideal but I would be willing to travel anywhere in Florida.
Defy Medical - Dr. Saya is about 3 weeks out.
I just completed my paperwork

I have been working with Mary, she is great so far.
Anti-estrogen: please do not use that terminology as can be a SERM or AI, completely different. You are probably referring to an AI - Arimidex/anastrozole.
Evaluate your overall thyroid function by checking oral body temperatures as per the thyroid basics sticky. Thyroid hormone fT3 is what gets the job done and it regulates mitochondrial activity, the source of ATP which is the universal currency of cellular energy. This is part of the body’s temperature control loop. This can get messed up if you are iodine deficient. In many countries, you need to be using iodized salt. Other countries add iodine to dairy or bread.

I can be a bit abrupt in my replies and recommendations. I have a lot of ground to cover as this forum has become much more active in the last two years. I can’t follow threads that go deep over time. You need to respond to all of my points and requests as soon as possible before you fall off of my radar. The worse problems are guys who ignore issues re thyroid, body temperatures, history of iodized salt. Please do not piss people off saying that lab results are normal, we need lab number and ranges.
The value that you get out of this process and forum depends on your effort and performance. The bulk of your learning is reading/studying the suggested stickies.
Is Mary the new person Dr Saya has been training? Just made my appt was hoping to find something quicker than 3 weeks out but the right doc seems much more important than a couple extra weeks. Feeling pretty lucky to have all of these clinic options in Florida as I’m reading about all the trouble other members have had in finding a competent doctor in other areas.
