Flameout Burps

Anyone else taste that nasty fish oil when they burp after having taken Flameout?

I could have sworn that someone posted on the Flameout thread that it doesnt happen with high quality fish oil supplements like Flameout.

Anyways…shit tastes nasty but I guess I’ll have to grin and bear it.

Try eating some food the same time you do your Flameout.

Happens with all fish oils. Don’t be a pussy. But it’s not near as bad with Flameout, plus you don’t have to take 20 capsules to get enough good stuff as with most fish oils.

Taking them before a meal, not after, helps too.

yes…take with food. A couple of other things I’ve learned is…

  1. Put the bottle in the freezer. My doctor actually told me this tip.
  2. If you can’t take them with food, take them with milk. Milk can temporarily coat your esophagas and this somehow reduces the “burp” factor. Plus you get a quick shot of protein…bonus!

Flameout should be enteric coated. That would solve this problem and increase absorption in the small intestine instead of the stomach.

Will give that a try…thanks

Flameout definitely has the least putrid burps of the oils I have taken. So we got that going for us.

I have some Flameout burps going on right now. I always take them with food, but the burps still prevail. I generally just don’t care anymore though, so I just live with it.

One thing that does take it down quite a bit though is seperating the 4 pills throughout the day. Take one pill with 4 different meals. I used to do it this way and it helps a lot. Not sure if this is recommended for efficiency though.

I always get oil burps. Food. No food. Standing on my head. Holding my nose. It doesn’t matter - I will get the damn burps.

Flameout has the worst tasting burps of all I have taken.

Now i use only enteric coated capsules, and the burps are gone.

I would probably use Flameout again - if the would go to enteric coated capsules.

If you are burping the fish oils or any oil tastes back, that is a good sign that your Gallbladder isn’t working the best. One trick you can do is to eat a citrus with the oil as limonene can act like bile and emulsify the oil for you. Definitely eat it with a protein meal still.

Definetly dont get the burps from Flameout…

Just tough it out for a while and your body gets ussed to the oil and they are not nearly as bad. I am to the point now whereI can eat the capsules plain and not have the burps.

really? can anyone else confirm this?

Maybe I should get a blood test done during my next doctors appt to have my gall bladder checked out.

You consume something, you burp and you taste it. Especially fish. I very much doubt everyone who burps has gallbladder issues. The sky is not falling!

i 2nd this request.
can someone confirm burping fish oils means your gallbladder isnt working properly??

i would think it’s not true, since the ONLY time it happens is with fish oil and flax oil caps i take.

but i’m not a medical professional… so before someone has a panic attack, please englighten us.
thanks

Just do some research for christs sake. No the sky is not falling and it doesn’t mean you are going to have a GB attack or anything. I have yet to meet anyone in the US that has been eating here for 15+ years that doesn’t have a mucked up gallbladder. This is mostly due to all of us unknowingly consuming mass amounts of hydrogenated oils for the past 20-30 years.

These junk oils coagulate and harden in the bile ducts and impair the function. Yes this can lead to severly impaired function but it would take time for sure. Usually the first sign is increased cholesterol or other physical markers like what you described.

There are several resources on the web on how to flush your liver/gb and purge sludge and stones from the body to keep you in peak condition, Look them up. One particular flush I like is on www.healthline.cc but there are plenty of others.

I’ve never gotten burps from Flameout. I always take it with food, but even took it on an empty stomach once and still no burps. I thought it might have had something to do with how it’s processed or the type/quality of the oil used, because I’ve gotten nasty ones from other brands.

I’ll include myself among those who get Flameout burps. I get 'em no matter whether I take the capsules before, after or while eating. And, I know it’s the Flameout, 'cause when I was out of Flameout, I continued taking my regular fish oil capsules and no burps.

But, herring is one of my favorite fish and that’s what they taste like to me, so I don’t really mind.

A few but its no big deal…chew some gum after your meal. That takes care of it for me.

I got them at first…but they get better as time goes by.

Always take before a meal.
