First Short Cycle (Dbol or Drol/Test) Anyone tried short?

Hey All,

I Have many cycles under my belt, all in the 10-12 week range. I have yet to do a short cycle, so hoping for some advice from someone who has tried, especially with Anadrol or Dbol. Also, this cycle will be accompanied with HCG 500iu per week from day 1 (250 pinned 3 days apart)

Goal is to keep 4lbs of muscle after the 10+ pounds of water sheds off.
BTW, I’ve done 3 drol cycles (no bad sides for me). Only did Dbol once for 2 weeks as a kickstart to a Test/Tren Cycle.

Thinking of this for a 4 week Cycle:

T Prop 400 per week
Anadrol 100Mg Per day

Or:
T Prop 400 Per week
Dbol 50mg per day

Or:
T Prop 400 Per week
Dbol 25mg (Not sure if this is too light/even worth it)
Anadrol 50mg (not sure if this it too light/even worth it)

What do you guys think?

I would run it for 8 weeks. Run the dbol at 20- 25 mg a day if its quality stuff. Test prop at 400wk is fine.

I have run anadrol before but it really didn’t do much for me other than bloat me up.

Short cycles after perfectly fine. Whats your reason behind using them?

@osu122975 I want to keep it to 4 weeks, all of my previous cycles were 10-12 weeks. Anadrol never really bloated me; but it did put some water on me for sure… Just got me stronger real quick.

@Singhbuilder Reasoning behind 4 week short cycle is because I have not done one before and want to see how I respond, especially in regards to recovery. Also, I’ll be traveling in a month for a few weeks, so this is also the perfect opportunity to give it a try.

I have both drol and Dbol on hand. What I’m hoping to accomplish from this thread is to get some advice on which direction to go (Drol or Dbol or both) to achieve my goal of gaining 4lbs of muscle in a short 4 week cycle after all is said and done.

Thats what I was leaning towards too. Mind sharing a bit of your experience on why Dbol would not be the better alternative ( i have very little experience with Dbol, interested in learning about your results with both.

Also, The other thing I was thinking was since it’s a short 4 week cycle, maybe I should just run the Drol at 150mg per day. thoughts?

I think it’s just a better option for a 4 week blast. Putting on 4lbs of lean muscle in 4 weeks is questionable tho. I know I couldn’t do it regardless of gear, diet, training. I don’t know where you are tho as far as size etc. You have more cycles then me under your belt so I’d imagine putting on 4lbs is gonna be impossible for you as well. You can def put on enough size and weght with anadrol in 4 weeks to look like you put on 4+lbs of muscle tho.

Yeah, if I had to chose one for my normal 10-12 week cycles, it would be drol simply from my previous experiences. Being that I have very limited experience with Dbol and no experience with Short cycles, I thought I’d get insight from those who do. Bigger than you… I highly doubt it. The look I go for is the “Lean Jacked” look. I’m 36 years old, Currently around 205 at 6’1 with 12% bf, and I have shit leg genetics so it’s mostly upper body.

I can confidently say that I have gained more than 4lbs of muscle on all cycles, but that was accompanied with some fat that I needed to burn off, which resulted in me losing some of the muscle with it. If I wanted to be a bit chubby for 5 months (which is what I plan to do this time around btw) vs.1-2 months, I’m sure I could have sustained more of the muscle gained by losing the fat in a more stable manner. What I’m speculating here with the drol/test is that by week 4, I’ll probably be around 220 ( I eat around 4k calories a day on gear consuming about 250g protein). Most of the weight will be from water, and I’ll be at 1k cal per day surplus of my usual 3k calories, totaling 28k extra calories over the course of the cycle=8lbs of extra non water body weight added.

Getting excited now about this cycle now… From everything I’ve read, Short cycles just seem like the way to go. Any tips and tricks to yield the best results are much appreciated.

This this. This means your only burning 3k cal a day. I find this really hard to Believe at 6’1 205 12%bf. I’m 6 foot 225 around 13.5% and I burn 3k cal if I do nothing but sit on my ass all day and watch TV. I think your highly underestimating how many calories you burn. At the same time tho I’m inclined to believe you know your body so I’m not gonna get into this much.

I will say I don’t do the “bulk” thing anymore so I don’t make these crazy gains. The whole bulk cycle then spend the next 3 months trimming fat and repeat gets tedious to me. One of the beautiful things about gear is you can gain muscle without adding fat maybe not as fast but It saves me from the whole trying to cut down afterwards. I’d suggest especially if you like the lean jacked look to just run the short cycle you have planned but don’t go crazy on the bulk part.

Yeah I don’t know… I wish it weren’t the case. I weigh and measure my food; it’s really easy to tell I’m gaining fat because literally the first place I gain is in my chest, and the slightest bit of fat there sticks out like a sore thumb.

My usual go to cycle is test/tren/var to get the look I want… I can literally eat whatever I want and I don’t get the slightest bit of fat. With Anadrol however, Fat gains are there, but I also get significantly stronger, bigger, and more pumped than any other stack. The fat is hidden pretty well though due to filling out with all the water weight I gain, but once the water is flushed out, thats when the fat shows and becomes time to try to shred up again…
