First Cycle - Test Dose for Cutting?

Hi there,

I started taking taking steroids and I do cycles. I’m still young and I will do two cycles per year. I was planning to do 1 cycle (10 weeks + PCT) for bulking and another 4 months later for cutting.

My fist cycle is 350mg of Test e/ week. I know, some recommend 500mg, but I want to start that low so I can increase slowly each cycle.

My question is, for my future cutting cycle, how much Test do I need? Do I need more Test than in my bulking cycle or just TRT dose, let’s say 100 - 200mg/ week to preserve my muscles.

For cutting I usually take clen or ephedrine (I prefer clen), sometimes T3, and since I started taking steroids I will think about adding Anavar or Tren, I still think about that.

But for now, I just want to know how much Test I should use for my cutting cycle and for my future cutting cycles.

(I WILL ALWAYS DO A PROPER PCT AFTER EACH CYCLE AS WELL AS BLOOD WORK!)

depends on how you look and what you lift…
without seeing you and knowing some details, we are just naming steroids and writing useless numbers next to them…
you might need more, you might need less - it doesnt depend on a black and white write-up, it depends on how you look.

Knowing what foundation (strength, weight, height, age, and approximate % body fat) you working with would be a great help. Give us some real compound lifts, with weight and reps. We will expect you to be stronger than most everyone in your gym (unless you are working out in a gym primarily targeted for competitive powerlifters)

IMO, never take clenbuterol except to burn the final fat for a bodybuilding contest. But it is your decision. Not everyone agrees with me.

Literally the opposite of how you’d do it if your goal was to get bigger and leaner. Steroids build muscle. That’s what they do. They don’t burn fat. They don’t help you cut. They just keep you from losing muscle in a calorie deficit. I’m willing to bet the vast majority of guys who cut on cycle are doing it because someone told them to and not because that’s what they need. Very few people outside of professional circles actually need anything beyond trt levels of test to cut. Your plan is dumb and you should spend some time researching why it’s dumb. You’re wasting your health and your money doing things ass backwards.

No, I did my research but I read different opinions about that, so I asked here. I know how a steroid cycle works, I even have a doctor and do blood work every or eo week. When I cut I always want to keep the most of my muscles and get as lean as possible. I’m not doing competitions yet, but I work as a model so it’s part of my job. I know how diet works, as well as calorie deficit for fat loss and calorie surplus for bulking.

So one more time, my question is what would you suggest for my cutting cycle, if I want to use Test to preserve my muscles, how much I should use if my current bulking cycle is 350mg test e/ week?

I will begin my cutting cycle next year by March, before I will do a proper PCT after I finished my current cycle and then, after blood work, I will wait some weeks (1:1 time on = time off)

See, context matters. Recommendation for you will be different than for a regular bro because your body cashes checks for you.

Test 200/w and anavar at 50mg for the last eight weeks. That’s your best bet for a perfectly manageable, not-horrible-for-you cut that will get you the results you want.

Thank you, that’s what I needed to know!

Well this is absolutely the worst opinion. Do you just come here to bash other people with your incorrect knowledge and put people down? keep your thoughts to yourself.

@Jimmyzoez Hey moron, do you introduce yourself to every new group with such regard? You must be lacking social skills so let me lay it out. That thread is three years old. @iron_yuppie isn’t posting anymore but when he did he was a wealth of knowledge. Only one person needs to STFU… stand in front of mirror and you’ll be looking at him.

You haven’t even been a member for 2 weeks dude. You come in here just to throw insults?
Not a good look.

It’s an open forum dickhead. I enjoy calling out people like you. Tickles me and my boyfriend to the core.

It’s just irony that you did the same thing only you have no cred or place to do so. How does that work out for you in real life? You walk up the the biggest guy in the gym and prob tell him his form sucks. Yeah you’re that guy.

He’s been flagged. We don’t need this negativity on here.

I wish @Jimmyzoez would have given us a reason to believe he is a knowledgeable contributor. He could have mentioned to a specific point and offered a counter view based on his knowledge and/or experience.

The gym is much different than a forum. If a person walks into the gym, it is obvious whether he has a good foundation of weight training. If he does, people are more apt to listen. But regardless that new person is not apt to have his very first words be a condemnation of another person’s comment.

Yes, he could have but he decided to act like a 5 year old instead of to engage in a respectful way. That was his first post. Hopefully his last.

I’ve been in these forums for longer than most of you been alive. I don’t need to boast like you. I’m just tired of seeing guys coming on here and asking for advice and you douchebags constantly ridicule people and call them dumb (like your bf did) and offer no advice. They are here to ask questions and learn, not get put down. But you want to defend the guy who is insulting people. Lol.

That seems a bold claim. I don’t fall into that group.

Then throw a little weight on the other side of the boat.
What are your recommendations? Or is your task sergeant of arms?

Why would I believe that you know anything about putting on muscle or getting in contest body composition shape? What have you done? And it is not bragging, it is merely some credibility.

Because as someone mentioned this thread is three years old. I didn’t insult anyone initially, controversy to what other people said. My point was why are you bashing this guy instead of just giving him an opinion? And naturally, which is so common in these forums, people just like to talk trash. I don’t care how long you been on here, that don’t give you a reason to bash guys looking for advice. That’s my point. Not wasting my time on this anymore.

Why not start a thread and introduce yourself? It helps to have an idea to whom we reply.

Excellent idea. Hell we used to do that often and it gave new people a chance to pedigree up, meaning we could know they aren’t a troll.
