What’s the big issue with immigration? There is a very simple solution that politicians don’t even want to consider.

The solution? Give California BACK to Mexico!
Absolutely. Give the world’s fifth largest economy to Mexico as a present. That would ‘solve’ the immigration problem wouldn’t it? Maybe give them Texas too. Simple.
Have you ever been to California? It’s practically Mexican anyway. Even the city names are Mexican; Los Angeles, Santa Cruz, San Diago, Santa Clara, San Francisco and so on. There’s even a place called Chico. Fuckin’ Chico!

It may be a problem giving them the entire state though. Mexico likely wouldn’t want Sacramento.
Think I read somewhere how Mexico actually has much harsher rules against immigrants, but then again the US seems to be in the spotlight most of the time.

This is VERY true, I have been asked for my ‘GASP’ papers on more than one occasion in mexico.

They are also building a very large, quite nasty fence on their border with Guatemala…they think the Guats are dirty, resource grubbing people.

You can smell the double standard from here.

/just don’t tell La Raza

Obama obviously said something to elicit the finger pointing.
In other words, he probably deserved it.
Maybe he was scolding her (for what, free speech?).
Props to the Governor for not being a shrinking violet.

HE brought it up, her comments about him in her book. He wigged out.

I think the media should bring up something. While the president had a finger pointed in his face, Border Officer Brian Terry was killed by the border with a gun used in Operation Fast and Furious.

One guy a finger, another guy got a funeral, who got it worse ?

that aside, what about the real or imagined race issue?
LOL “Black(??)” radio did it to make sure they can get listeners like you. Who act like white people don’t defend Bush, yet create a post saying it would not have been an issue if someone did it to Bush… Including the media I hear way more white people complaining about race issues then white.

Now… Do you honestly believe some on their way out gov can get away with waving there finger in ANY presidents face and it not being posted across all media outlets? She should be thankful it can be misconstrued as a race issue otherwise she would probably get blasted for an incident like that.

Have you read any of this thread? She had every reason to blow up at him, Obama has treated her, her state and the boarder patrol officer who was killed LIKE SHIT.

I seem to recall a certain senator from Massachusetts refusing to stand and acknowledge the sitting president as well as turning his back to him as he passed by…nobody said a word on the Left.

You need to understand the back story on this one.

Eddie Griffin (of Undercover Brother fame) recently had a very enlightening commentary on Obama in his You Can Tell ‘Em i said It stand up show (worth youtubing; one of the funniest stand ups I have ever seen). He basically made the point that Obama is a pimp. He’s been pimpin’ women left and right (pun intended) since the inception of his presidency. Hilary was his biggest competition, right, so what does he do to her? He ships her out of the country as Secretary of State. Then comes Sonia Sotomayor, he knew he needed an ally in the Supreme Court. Check. And then comes his biggest hoe of all, Valerie Jarrett. You know he’s got her on a tight leash.

It seems this Brewer lady has been the target of an Obama pimpin’ for some time and she’s giving some resistance. I bet Obama wanted to bitch slap her so hard when she finger wagged him. No doubt her actions will have repercussions.

Have you read any of this thread?
Have you? The OP clearly stated his curiosity about the racial aspect not whether she was right or wrong. Which is what I addressed and Even quoted since people seemed to want to turn it into something else…

This isn’t an argument between you and your mother, it’s politics, and she’s a politician. If she doesn’t know how to politic, then she’s not that good of a politician, or possibly she just lost her cool and Obama is just a better politician. To most people outside of Arizona it looks like a retarded publicity stunt releasing a duplicate copy of handwritten letter that she couldn’t release yesterday.

Silly argument… hopefully you can figure out why.

I think Obama was more pissed that she didn’t drink the Kool-Aid like everyone else did. She didn’t get star struck, and that is something Obama has had his whole presidency. She should have done this in private, but I am sure the heat of the moment got the best of both of them.

To my understanding the problem goes way back , the Federal government owes AZ a bunch of money to house prisoners , idon’t think that is what Brewer was saying , I think she was saying she likes it in the A**

I did question the real or imagined racial element as express on a philadelphia morning show (actually syndicated throughout the country). thus far, you have shed no light on that. i stand by my original position that white politicians, including former POTUS were “direspected” and that it has nothing to do with race but with our freedom of speech and the fact that it comes with the territory.

i find the very suggestion that it was racially motivated to be a shining example of the victim mentality that too many adopt.

Exactly, this was not racial…this was the President taking a big steamer on AZ and the governor letting him know about it.

X 1000

Not to derail or go off topic, but people here have criticized the Governor for her finger pointing, but had nothing to say about Occupy Oakland, who trashed City Hall, vandalized a YMCA, threw bottles and rocks, and burned an American flag.

http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppard/2012/01/29/flashbook-2007-nbcs-brian-williams-wags-finger-president-bush

Oh yeah, this “unprecedented” disrespect of the president is an outrage…

any criticism of this President unfortunately come with the race card included.

i say victim mentality.

Just as a note: Obama doesn’t outrank Brewer in the state of Arizona. Technically, according to the constitution, Brewer really should outrank Obama in Arizona if anything. There is more power reserved for the state government than the fed within a States boarders.

Either way, they don’t both belong to the same organization, and Obama doesn’t outrank her in it.
Why would you even come on here to point out a hyper-technicality of this extent? Technically, you’re right, but for all practical purposes you’re wrong. Who is the most powerful political figure in the country? The President. Perhaps the way I worded my point was poor, but this sort of nitpicking attitude that fails to see the forest for the trees is ridiculous.
