Nat Nast Shirts are great

The “pyscho bunny” line of polo shirts can fit if you chose well, they come in staggered sizes and are not so damn long or fat at the belly

some Napoli or cannili shirts will work if you have them tailored at the waist.

Nordstroms has reasonable options.

I can’t get my arms in Burbury or anything English.
Thanks! I’ll look into that!
Nat Nast shirts are also good if you do concealed carry. I (legally) carry a GLOCK .40, typically in the small of my back. It’s a large frame auto, and you can’t see it unless I bend forward.

Apparently everyone who’s 5’7 is supposed to have a 30" chest, and a neck under 17 1/2.
Im 5 7 185 with a 12" difference in chest/waist. Buying suits is difficult but buying regular clothes is fine. Stop shopping at gay places.

Marc Ecko Cut and Sew is youre new friend. Levi’s slim cut jeans too. 514’s with no spandex 1-2 sizes too big in the waist. Youre welcome.
I’ll check out the first couple you were naming, but I can’t wear Levi’s at all. There’s something about the way they’re cut that irritates the shit out of me.

And I don’t shop at gay places, swear to fuckin god. But most shirts that fit me in the chest seem like they come down to my fuckin knees, and shirts that are good lengthwise are way too tight (not that I’m huge by any means, but I don’t like tight ass shirts, Jersey shore style.)

5’8" 190…shirts looks weird (the neck is ok but the rest is a tent, even the slim fit) and no 30" pant inseams in sight
haha yea man… I don’t see a lot of skinny people walking around, but 30x30 or 32x30 are always gone first. Always.

With this country, I would think that the 40x30’s would move first, but then maybe they make way more of them.

When your short and bigger than average then you run into the issue of the length of the shirt tail plus the over-sized waist. It seems to me, after reading many of the bi-monthly threads of this nature, that being taller helps in finding larger clothes that fit.

Suits, buy separates and get tailored.

I found some nice polos, very simple, at Lands End. Pima cotton with some stretch. Thick enough fabric that it still lays nice if stretched, helps with the bigger chest/shoulders and smaller waist scenario.

Otherwise, develop a style of your own and do not try to follow every fashion (there is a difference). Buy clothes that are well made and fit (or close) and get a good tailor.

If you need to wear lots of dress shirts, get them custom made. Places I have seen will run about $40 a shirt (where buying multiple) and you pick everything down to the buttons.

And I agree with the suit thing… the suits I have are tailored, which is no big deal. You spend a lot of money on them, so tailoring would the smart thing. I’m talking more just regular t-shirts or button down shirts that really aren’t worth tailoring, etc.

My wife went to Vegas a few years ago and spent $400 on a very nice Armani shirt for me. When I tried it on I couldn’t button it and the sleeves stopped just below the elbow, sucks because it was a nice shirt.

For the most part I only have problems finding jeans long enough 36-38x34 is almost always a tough find. I’ve found the Lucky jeans fit perfectly and now TJ Max(discount store) sells them for average $35.

Why a .40? And FMJ or hollow?

Not to hijack the thread, but I think the .40 is the best compromise between the accurate, but powerless, 9mm and the innaccurate, but powerful, .45.

I alternate rounds between hollow (in chamber), FMJ, hollow, etc. Harmondy, I believe.

I would like to carry a .357 revolver, but it just can’t be hidden.

I think the term “Trendy” is subjective here. OP,what brands do you actually like? I realized that even though we all lift to get bigger(strong, faster) our taste outside the gym varies.

I think a lot of the guys on this site consider wranglers trendy. But regardless, the shirt problem I have is most evident with Lucky brand shit. Always come down too far on me man.

Im out of here.

I thought this thread was lame until I wore a new shirt today that I bought last week and realized the arms were too tight. Might end up sticking to t-shirts instead of button ups, either works with my job.
