From what I have found on the internet… 200mg every 2 weeks is a standard starting dose of test cyp. The testogel is 50 mg of test per day?
I should probably tell him I don’t feel any change. I have to at least get 100mg/wk out of him.
The syringe the pharmacist gave me he said to draw and inject with… its 3ml 25g x 1 (0.5mm x 25mm)
Yes it is a common place to start. Common doesn’t mean good though. Every other week will have you yoyo’ing from spiking in the beginning of the week to being back to your baseline by the end of the week then still have another 5-7 days where you’ll be at or below where you started. It’s a totally outdated protocol that you should not follow.
Minimum should be 1 injection per week, most do better on 2-3 a week.
That’ll do a great job of shutting you down and leaving you actually lower than you are now.
Yes, 100mg/week is the absolute minimum you should be starting with both in terms of dose and frequency.

Shutting me down. Not good. I’ve had a month of testogel, think if I did one 50mg shot tomorrow and wait a week to try to convince him to 100mg, I’d be shut down?
Any type of T is going to shut down your natural production, that part is completely expected regardless of what form you’re on.
And… Probably

Finally took my first injection. Same needle to draw and shoot. I get why you use a bigger needle to draw, now.
I think the 25g x1 needle in is good. Painless.
Now, I have 5 days to work on a story to convince the doc 50mg per week or month is no good.
Imagine what a 28-30g needle feels like. You would have to imagine because you can’t feel it.

I’d imagine 1 inch length of needle is good. If I get a 28g to inject, 21 or so, to draw? Can I get needles on Amazon? I know the alcohol swabs are gone.
idk man.
i think you’re going to get SICK of those long 1 inch needles. I believe drawing speed is a reasonable compromise for dealing with a much smaller and much more painless needle injection.
I get all my supplies off gpzmedlab.com

I use 1/2 inch and do IM injections in the delts. It’s the easiest, most convenient and least painful place for me

I’ll look around. Neither ship to Canada.
Ok, this is a dumb question… the cap on the test vial… Does it go back on? It seemed to not want to, so I didn’t force it.
Just googling and found this:
“When you have frequent injections, the volumes are too small, using #29 0.5ml 50IU insulin syringes. You can inject in the muscle at the side of your thighs (vastus lateralis). The injection loads very slowly, however, the tiny plunger causes very high pressures. Never use 1.0ml syringes.”
I ordered the 29 g 1/2 inch 1ml box. This guy’s got me thinking wtf.
Big day tomorrow. I have to get my doc on board with 100mg/wk … I can totally feel fatigue today. The 50mg 4 days ago feels like it’s wearing off.
Just gonna tell him I read over and over that 200/wk is standard starting dose. I might not bother telling him I’d be doing 50mg 2/wk.
I’m about a 5 wks in. A month on the gel. Going to ask him about bloodwork. If he says yes, I see the post above. Wondering about lh/fish? Probably just add PSA from the extra list.
I hope it goes good.
@bluejays
Turns out there are many folks who have no idea what they are talking about yet still feel the need to give advice. Who knew?
There’s plenty folks here using 1ml insulin syringes and no one has complained. With smaller guage insulin syringes you inject slowly. I’ve been doing it for years sub-q & IM with the exact syringes you ordered. That guy needs to put more focus on cleaning his vagina.

Yeah you are better off keeping the injection frequency to yourself.

Thanks for the heads up on injecting slow.
No problem. You don’t have to go crazy slow just not pedal to the metal. I usually take about 5 Mississippi’s to inject my .13ml daily dose. After injecting I leave the needle in for another 5 Mississippi’s. Then I’ll pull it halfway out and leave it for 2 Mississippi’s before completing removing it (counteracts the plunger effect that can happen when pulling the needle out). Helps keep the T from coming back up since it’s a shorter needle.
If I’m doing 50mg, same process?
Yes. I use 0.5ml syringes so I guess I’m even more screwed, haha
It does create a lot of pressure (think pressure washer) if you push the plunger hard on a small needle. But go slow and it’s fine.
