Can your body become dependent on psyllium husk and ground flax to shit?
I’ve been taking it daily for a few months now.

No, but I’d suggest still eating your veggies, fruit, nuts, and drinking enough water. A bit of fat in the diet can help too

I was taking ground flax 3 table spoons a day for months then stopped. I didn’t really notice any difference after stopping. I cut down my dose slowly as my tub emptied.
I like to cycle fibre supplements and vary my source. I’m currently taking psyllium husk 1 teaspoon/day.
How much are you taking? are you taking PH and flax together?
My morning cup of coffee is far more important for regularity than fiber.
Been taking psyllium husks for the better part of 5 years now and never seem to notice a difference when I stop. Usually a week or two between bags as it’s not the most important thing to me so I order the next bag whenever I remember to.
I took glucomannan fibre for a few weeks. It didn’t really help my constipation, though it did help somewhat with appetite control. My body has adjusted to my diet (which has always included over a kg green veg/day) and I don’t need the supplemental fibre.
