Thor versus Conan! a classic What If. I liked those. A little hazy, I should have taken it out of the bag.

Was there actually a fight between those two? Or was it a punch-punch, let’s team up thing?

and Thor dies and Conan has to return the hammer to Asgaard

What a load of shit. Conan would have taken the hammer for himself and used it to crush his enemies…

If I had known that you owned Thor related comics, especially ones involving Conan, I would have bought this from you myself. Hell, I might buy it from you one day.

This thread has inspired me to raid my footlocker at my dad’s house and lust after my comic stash…every few years I just have to lay them out on the floor so I can see them in their full magnificence!

Good stuff!

I loved the artwork taken from the Edgar Rice Burroughs books. The Warlord of Mars had great covers, too.

I just saw that warlord of mars is going for like 200 bucks online and I’m pretty sure that I have that one somewhere…

I am still going to sell these things. I just haven’t figured out eBay yet or how much to charge for shipping. I figure I will try with one box and see how it goes

and the What Ifs were great and the Contest of Champions.

Really?

Hearing this sort of thing, makes me angry that i sold all of my comic books to buy the latest Atari games back in the early 80’s.

Yeah, we’re going to need pics of of the footlocker comics.

The particular footlocker in question is mostly filled with the complete Warlord series, quite a few Savage Sword comics, and a couple cherished Gold Key Tarzans. There’s a second one in the garage with more Tarzan, Conan and a good run of Heavy Metal from the late 70s. I also have two original sales racks filled with Classics Illustrated. There’s allot of other stuff too, but the mentioned is the coveted batch.

I don’t remember Wonder Woman beating Superman in a fair fight. Ever. Maybe you made it up so you could complain about it?[/quote]

I kinda agree. Plus I have a comic book that shows Superman getting killed by Doomsday…
