Looking big. Heard they make 'em small in Tennessee, good to see there are some exceptions to the rule.
Thanks.

Went ahead and weighed myself. 191.8 this morning. I’m lighter than I look. Especially for being a little over 5’10".

Some people around here call you small if you aren’t well over 200, but I think I do okay for a decrepit, natty, former pudgy wanna be powerlifter.

Duece awsome progress man, especially back.

Incredible transformation scorpinaut. Looking beast, top 1% of T-Nation.

Your loose skin will recede in time, man. Just keep patient - you are looking just fine.

These pictures show you carry a good deal of muscle compared to other pics I’ve seen of you elsewhere… don’t be shy to show pics like these. Loose skin or not… it’s pretty easy to tell you lift. You should be proud of what you have accomplished.
Many thanks, kind sir. The loose skin has gotten slightly better over the years, but unfortunately having surgery to remove it is a must for me. Luckily I’m in the process of a large career opportunity that may allow me to accomplish this. I’ll never be really comfortable until I get it!

In the meantime, though, I figure I’m going to get to single digits because shit, never done that, seems like it’d be pretty sweet.

Btw, am I the only one that would like to see more of Scorpinaut around here? Great work.

Hokay, I’ll play this time. Posted in the T-Cell recently too.

For the record, I recommend NOT ever allowing your kids to get to 350lbs, loose skin is pretty lame.

214 this morning.
You’ve come a long way, bud.

Damn good job.

The first photo is from the LAST thread. Avi is also around August.

Here’s today:

I am really disappointed with my lack of progress so far, but I promised myself I would do this to keep myself accountable so here it is. I feel like I have put on way too much fat and not enough muscle… Feel free to point me in the right direction if that doesn’t derail this thread at all… I’m 19 and around 195 at this point. (Also tried to cover up my tattoo since I’d rather not be able to be recognized based on my post history so it looks kind of funny).

You guys are awesome. Glad to see everyone is dedicated.

Been a lurker since 05. I’ve made some tangible progress over the years, thanks in large part to this site and its forums. My Current goals are to continue leaning out and somehow muster the balls to finally step on stage…(been makin’ excuses for YEARS).
Awesome progress man! How long between the two pics?

How would you describe your training style?

You are not alone! Guy looks incredible.

Snapped this pic of myself yesterday - hovering around 230, down from 285 at 6’5". I’d like to believe I lost a good bit of muscle during my cut, but it’s entirely possible I was just a lot fatter than I thought.

You’re looking real good, man. Don’t let the scale get you down.

That’s why I hadn’t weighed myself recently, I’ll be in the 180s before I get as lean as I want… like 25 pounds lighter than what I used “think”.

Replacing the scale with a mirror helps though, and I feel amazing.

Yep, still on a roll with good stuff being presented in here. Nice work, guys.

Congrats for following through with what you said, even if you’re not happy with it for now.

The changes will depend a lot on the particulars of your current training and nutrition, but generally, watch total calories (maybe scale back a bit to have a smaller surplus), consider switching to “strategic carbs” (earlier in the day and around workout only) instead of carbs in each meal, and possibly incorporate a bit of cardio (15-20 minutes of easy-ish cardio a few times a week). Might be worth starting a thread, listing what you’re doing now, to get some more feedback.

I know this feel all too well.

I’m in the same boat. bah :frowning: Even my performance goals are lagging. 165 on OHP for reps kicked my ass.

Whoa, DD! Man, you’ve improved!

Hah, it’s a great compliment to get that from someone with an artistic eye. I think that means I’ve arrived on T-Nation, so to speak.

I’m on my 3rd week of body part training (arm day, chest day, est.) so I’m actually planning on making some improvement from here pretty quick. I think I’ve done more sets and reps of biceps in my first 2 weeks of this than I did the previous decade.

I’d also be appreciative of any weak part/balance/symmetry critique. As of now, bringing up my legs and specifically my quads is #1. Chest is what I’m planning on making #2, I don’t know that it’s supper weak, but I’ve just always wanted a big chest and never done much about it.

I also like the back handed nature of “most improved” type compliments. It’s like you guys are telling me I was a fat POS before. =0)

This is going to be a quarterly thing, correct?

I’m starting some specialization training, just focusing on a specific muscle group for a few months at a time while maintaining everything else. First up is back. So hopefully I can check in 3 months from now and have an improved back.

This picture taken today.
