Yeah, not knowing who Bonham is about as egregious an offense as never having heard of Jesus or Jimi Hendrix. Virtually every rock drummer cites Bonham as an influence and virtually every rock song’s drumming has its roots either in Bonham or the stuff that he had HIS roots in.
Moby Dick for the win when it comes to solos. As far as just my favorite drumming from him: the live version of Since I’ve Been Loving You from the BBC Sessions, When The Levee Breaks, pretty much any live version of Dazed and Confused, and Kashmir.

Well, I messed up the name (Dunham was the first Marine to receive the MoH since Vietnam), and after we found out who I was talking about, they chewed my out as well.

What makes it worse is that you claim to be a guitar player, albeit a bad one. You’re the first person who knows what a guitar is that I’ve heard of who doesn’t know who John Bonham is, aside from a few Pat Metheny fans I know of. You should be ashamed.
