When The Levee Breaks. I agree with ID that drum solos are retarded.

I don’t know about others my age, but considering he died 4 years before my birth and I’ve haven’t had any interest in ‘classic rock’, I don’t find it that mysterious.
Lots of people died before you were born, but that doesn’t mean history isn’t important to know. You’ve heard of Abraham Lincoln? Leonardo DaVinci? Elvis? Jesus? Wilford Brimley? All long dead and all very important figures.

John Bonham is more important and influential than the lot of them combined.

Yeah, not knowing who Bonham is about as egregious an offense as never having heard of Jesus or Jimi Hendrix. Virtually every rock drummer cites Bonham as an influence and virtually every rock song’s drumming has its roots either in Bonham or the stuff that he had HIS roots in.

Moby Dick for the win when it comes to solos. As far as just my favorite drumming from him: the live version of Since I’ve Been Loving You from the BBC Sessions, When The Levee Breaks, pretty much any live version of Dazed and Confused, and Kashmir.

Wilford Brimley is still very much alive, eating lots of oatmeal and rockin the diabeetus.

I guess if your mind still finds shit like that interesting, then yeah…it WILL ruin you.
My thoughts exactly. Never been into social networking and never will. I value my privacy too much.
I get all the chicks asking me why I am not on facebook and have been told that I am so “mysterious” because I am not on it!! LMFAO!!! If they want to find out about me they need to ask me!

I know what you mean. ol’ Wilford will always be with us in spirit.

So today at training I was telling some of the others, how a bunch of idiots on T-Nation, were chewing me out 'cause I didn’t know who Jason Dunham was.

Well, I messed up the name (Dunham was the first Marine to receive the MoH since Vietnam), and after we found out who I was talking about, they chewed my out as well.

So apparently it’s also sacrilege here, among people my age, to not know who John Bonham is.

Bwahahahah!

What makes it worse is that you claim to be a guitar player, albeit a bad one. You’re the first person who knows what a guitar is that I’ve heard of who doesn’t know who John Bonham is, aside from a few Pat Metheny fans I know of. You should be ashamed. Do you even know who Led Zeppelin is? Let me try something that’s probably a little more your speed. Have you ever heard the song “Hurdy Gurdy Man” by Donovan? That’s Bonham playing drums on it.

I can understand not recognizing his picture, because I didn’t and I love Zeppelin.

(To be fair to me, I wouldn’t recognize most celebrities).

But not to know who he is is just shameful.

1000 burpee penalty.
