Favourtie Movie?

Great American movies: 1) Godfather 1& 2 2) Goodfellas, 3) American Beauty, 4) Glengarry Glen Ross

The usual suspects, The good, bad and the ugly, Conan the Destroyer (Robert Jordan Script), Saving Private Ryan, Full Metal Jacket, Batman the animated Movie (the best of the Batmans), all the Evil Deads (Bruce Campbell is a dick!), Half Baked (so is Bruer), and my personal favorite, Hercules in New York. It is just the most obtuse, ill conceived movie with Arnold being his usual assholeish self. lol And, as an honerable mention, Metal Gear Solid, while a video game, had a great movie feel, with all types of plot twists and decent voice acting. That should be the next movie.

I’ll probably have to say because of the cinemetography and intresting plotline I ould have to choose Buttman in Rio

Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, Weekend at Bernie’s, Pulp Fiction, The Big Lebowski, Blazing Saddles.

Movies that have disappointed me: 1.Fight Club
2.Blackhawk down. Well these are the top 2 that I think were talked up way too much. Good movies include the Godfathers, Scarface, Ninja Turtles, Braveheart, Gladiator

  1. Fight Club 2. Goodfellas 3. The Rocky’s 4. Gladiator 5. Braveheart and The Patriot 6.The Terminator’s.

MEN OF HONOR. Maybe the toughest Son of a Bitch to ever walk the earth. Carl Brashear. A hero’s hero. And Dinero is classic in this movie.

  1. There’s Something About Mary 2. Liar Liar 3. Ace Ventura: Pet Detective 4. Rush Hour 2 5. Rush Hour 6. Dumb and Dumber 7. True Lies 8. Mrs. Doubtfire 9. Kindegarden Cop 10. (All) Back to the Future - What can I say? I’m a comdey/action type guy. (And yes I liked the second Rush Hour over the first)

Am I the only one here who likes the old black & white movies? Actors such as Errol Flynn, Bette Davis, Greta Garbo, Joan Crawford, John Barrymore, Marlon Brando, Gloria Swanson…

Nah - I love 'em, too. Especially “The Women”. And you forgot a couple of my favorite actresses from “way back when”: Rosalind Russell (His Girl Friday, Rosie!, Five Finger Exercise - just to name a few), and Ava Gardner (The Barefoot Contessa, Night of the Iquana).

Shanghai Noon has got to be one of the funniest movies ever made. Owen Wilson and Jackie Chan were a great duo. Definately one of my favorites. MIB, T2, Goonies are a few others.

Someone mentioned comedies, but no one has mentioned these classic comedies: “Airplane” and “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off”.

Jason Norcross: I LOVED "Shanghai Noon" - some of Chan's best fight choreography is in that movie. Great stuff. You do know that RIGHT now the sequel is being filmed? "Shanghai Knights". And the premise sounds REALLY good.

That is great to hear about Shanghai Nights. Another good movie to look forward to. It will be tough to outdo the first one though.

Fight Club hands down.
Seven is number two.
Matrix number three.

Brad Pitt is dreamy.

I’m glad I’m not the only one. I agree with both names you brought up. I could think of others too; Marlene Dietrich, Dolores Del Rio. Did you ever hear of Theda Bara? If you unscramble her name, it’s Arab Death.
She was the first actress to play Cleopatra on the big screen.

Hey, wasn’t Delores Del Rio married (for a very short time) to Johnny Weismuller (y’know “Tarzan”) at one time? And you better believe I know who Theda Barra was! While on the topic of silent screen actresses, how about Clara Bow, the infamous “It” girl. Or Louise Brooks (Pandora’s Box). I just think Louise Brooks was such a striking woman.

freddy got fingered is the best movie in the world

Return of the Jedi. I also loved the Rockies, Braveheart, Gladiator or any other Testosteronish movie. American Pie 1 and 2 were good too.

Scent of a Woman (Hoo-aah!!), Fight Club (and anything else with Ed Norton), From Dusk 'Till Dawn, all the Die Hards, Chameleons 2 (classic porn), and I watched Menace II Society all the time as a teenager.

Man With the Golden Arm is one of my favorite old movies. Josh
