Favourite Sport to Watch

^^hahahahaha you threw out the bait

Done and done. I love college lacrosse also, but that’s mostly because I played.

Even the fights in baseball are boring. All we got out of the 50 person mob between the Cardinals and the Reds last night was some kicking from Cueto who was leaning against a net.

If you hate baseball, you can’t possibly be from California.

BBing comps
Oly lifting comps
Strong Man comps
Moto-X
Big Wave surfing
Some boxing and MMA[/quote]

No love for powerlifting?

For me it depends. If I’m training, there is nothing better than baseball (because I can train hard and still easily keep up with the game. I call it lazy watching. I can even read and watch baseball together.

Live, hockey all the way.

TV, probably MMA.

Completely blanked on Lax, definitely agree with that. High level lacrosse is incredibly entertaining

I like baseball, and love my Giants, I just don’t think it’s wildly entertaining to watch on TV. Does that mean I don’t watch every Giants game I can when I’m home? No. It means that I usually read or do computer work while watching, as opposed to NFL or NHL games where I focus solely on the game.

Even at AT&T Park, which is the best park in the MLB and is an amazing place to watch ballgames, most people focus on the game about 60% of the time, and talk and drink for the other 40%.

My point was, for that amount of men, not very much action ensued. See NBA and Ron Artest for examples of action packed brawl.

MMA, Boxing, Strongman, X games, Off roading

But really I don’t watch much TV. IF I watch TV and IF I watch sports it would have to be one of those but that really only happens once or twice a year.

I understand what you’re saying but I also argue you’d be more enthralled if you were to watch a team that wasn’t all pitching. I’m sure being able to watch a couple of Cy Young winners must be great, however power hitting AL teams are the most exciting IMO.

NBA Basketball is the only sport that I`ve been able to follow on a serious level consistently, although I am at least casually following all of the Big 4 pro team sports and usually come playoff time will seriously follow.

Its weird, Im starting to enjoy watching baseball games as of recently-I normally never watch unless its October. Its not an action packed game at all, but it`s kind of relaxing and fun to watch. But not as scandal filled as golf, haha.

You’re from the GTA also right? I think I remember you saying you were a raps fan in the Free Agency thread. We’re lucky, the Jays are the most exciting team in baseball. Have the home run leader of the whole MLB and most home runs as a team. The number 9 hitter has 12 home runs for christ sake! Not to mention a young up and coming pitching staff (Morrow, Romero, Marcum, Cecil).

Yea because the greatest power hitter of all time never played for the Giants or anything…

Yeah, Im from Scarborough. The Jays are a pretty exciting team, and if we can keep the squad together I think well be a problem in 2 years- or next year. Since the All Star break I think weve been the best in the AL East, anyway.

I was actually on T-Nation for most of Morrows one hitter :(. Tuned in on time to see strikeout 15 and onward.

I was really just talking about this year, I mean my team had the best pitching in all of MLB (including the bullpen) in 2007 and 2008 but I really didn’t find the games as interesting as this year.

All I’m saying is that personally, I do not find baseball to be one of the most entertaining sports to watch. I love the sport, I follow the league closely, I play fantasy baseball, but it isn’t as exciting a game to watch as the NFL or NHL.

Simply stated, if I had to choose one sport to watch on a given evening, baseball wouldn’t be my top choice, but it also wouldn’t be my bottom.

Well, no disrespect for the sport (having had participated in it as a young man), but I’m at the point where I feel so… over it. Sorry about that. Frankly, I’d rather watch powerlifting than any TEAM sport.
So there you go.
