super smash bros for N64 was great. I bought the wii solely for super smash bros brawl. Turns out, playing online is a total fuckin hassle, and i just couldnt maintain my interest for more than a few days. So now my wii collects dust. Had i played this game 4-5yrs ago i might have really enjoyed it but i think its the type of game that you grow out of. BUT if you are a fan, make sure you play 'Super Get Smashed" with friends before you hit the clubs haha. A shot everytime you lose a life! GOODLUCK lol

I know what you mean, it can be annoying playing online. For me it’s not as big of a deal though because theres 1-2 sites that have people on all the time and you can get there code and play pretty easily and talk if you felt like it. Honestly now though the main reason I’m interested in it is because my school is hosting some tournament to raise money for a trip to Italy so I want to win lol, after that it kind of seems like there’s not much point playing alone/online unfortunately.

It seems people would grow out of basically any game though.

By the way guys do you usually play video games by yourself, with people, or online?

story mode games I could see playing alone obviously but as for games like street fighter or basically any fighting game I don’t think just fighting the computer over and over is much fun at all

Agreed.

But I’ve been having some issues as of late online with Street Fighter. I play with Sagat and I have the timing down on throwing fireballs and the high kick (i.e. zoning) perfectly on Arcade mode, but online it lags just a wee bit.

And that wee bit has caused me some games because timing is VERY crucial in this game.

C.O.D. Modern Warfare & World at War FTW.

Super Mario Bros. 2-So different from anything else Mario related. This might be my favorite game.

All Halo’s-Need I say more?

Mike Tyson’s Punch Out!-Didn’t beat Tyson 'til I was over 20yrs old. After that could beat him everytime.

Super Mario World [SNES]-This is up there with Mario 2 on my favorite list. Trying to find the hidden levels makes this a contender.

Mario 64-No games has ever blown me away visually the way this did. The first time I saw Mario look at his reflection in the metallic pool the hairs on the back of my neck stood up.

Almost put Sonic on there. There’s also a handful of arcade games I would’ve chosen but didn’t know if they were eligible.

I know what you mean, that little big of lag can make a huge difference when your attacks are based on a timed sequence of buttons like street fighter

Nothing shall ever top Ocarina of Time. It was the game changer, literally.

I definitely prefer playing with people (especially fighting games) for the most part. Even some story mode games can be fun with multiple players (like the GTA series).

I do however not mind practicing and honing the basics against the computer.

^Speaking of, how would you all rather play games?

I’m more of a singular gamer myself, I don’t like being brought down by other people ;). I don’t know, though, I’d rather just randomly walk around the DC wastelands doing whatever the hell I please instead of just fragging random people. Been there, done that. Shit is too stressful for me.

MGS ( all parts )
Ico
Shadow Of Colossus
Burnout ( crazy )

How can I forget about greatest game ever created for the Sega Genesis,Strider…screw Sonic.

Capcom should of resurrected this guy before Bionic Commando.
