Favorite Side Project Bands

The whole is more than the sum of its parts. Aristotle, Metaphysica.
some side projects that just rule!

Down
Phil Anselmo(Pantera,Superjoint Ritual), Pepper Keenan(Corrosion of Conformity), Kirk Windstein(Crowbar), Jimmy Bower(Crowbar, Eyehategod)

Angtoria
Sarah Jezebel Deva(Cradle Of Filth, Therion, Mortiis etc), Chris Rehn(Abyssos), Tommy Rehn(Moahni Moahna), Dave Pybus(Cradle Of Filth, Anathema), John Henriksson(My Own Grave)

KINGDOM OF SORROW
Jamey Jasta(Hatebreed,) Kirk Windstein(Crowbar), Charlie Bellmore(Phantoms)
Matthew Brunson(Crowbar), Nick Bellmore(Toxic Holocaust, Phantoms)

When I read the title of this thread, I immediately thought of Down.

KoS? Mmmmmmmmmmm. Anything that Kirk does is golden, but Jasta’s vocals get tend to get very annoying in my opinion, especially when he’s not doing Hatebreed shit; but I read that their second album is a vast improvement on the first. I’ve only heard one track, the same track you posted, so I still don’t have a full verdict yet.

I dont have any. But kingdom of sorrow is sick!

Queens of the Stoneage, if they’re considered a side-project. Just nice to have Grohl back on the drums.

Jonny Craig’s little solo side project for sure. Dude has an amazing voice.

For your consideration. Jonny Craig is the lead singer of Emarosa and was also in Dance Gavin Dance. Best voice I’ve ever heard. Here’s one of his songs off his solo album.

Really digged that Down song, phil is the man!

I actually liked Echobrain(Jason Newsted’s side project when he was leaving Metallica)

A Perfect Circle (I still consider them a side project band since that’s what they started out as).

Yea Jonny Craig is amazing! I can’t get enough of this song.

A Perfect Circle is the best side project ever.

Colonel Claypool’s Bucket of Bernie Brains! (C2B3)

Les Claypool: Bass, Buckethead: Guitar, Bernie Worrell: keyboard, Brian Mantia: Drums

Looks like a Rickenbacker 4001 he’s playing on there. Such a sick bassist!

Liquid Tension Experiment:

John Petrucci - Guitar
Jordan Rudess - Keyboards
Mike Portnoy - Drums
Tony Levin - Bass, Chapman Stick

They were, until Down got together.

I was a big fan of Damn Yankees back in the day. Tommy Shaw (Styx), The Motherfucking Nuge, Jack Blades (Night Ranger), and some drummer guy who I’m not familiar with.

And, of course:

DOWN, DOWN, DOWN, FUCKING DOWN !

Ditto

For conversations sake I think Them Crooked Vultures is dope. Mad Season will always hold a position in my top 5.

But yeah, down is SICK

^ I forgot about mad season!

Side note* I saw Iggy and the Stooges on saturday night in TO and it was incredible. Iggy is sixty-four and still rocks his ass off/hi-jack.
