Favorite Quick Snack?

I’m currently deployed and always on the hunt for quick/healthy snacks. We eat a ton of protein bars. What are your favorite quick grab and goes?

I’m currently on these Legion protein bars. Recently I tried Legendary protein pop-tarts which are just ok. We are also DEEP into the Kodiak Peak Oatmeal.

My grab-n-go usually consists of Flax seed crackers, some kind of flavored almonds or pistachios, clementines, protein shakes, maybe a finibar or cliff bar.

But I’m not deployed, so I don’t know helpful that is.

I’ve been eating dark chocolate covered almonds with plain, lightly salted ones. I’ll do one choc covered to maybe 3-4 plain ones so I get full before I’ve eaten a boatload of chocolate. Nice salty/sweet and feels like a bit of a treat.

I don’t snack these days, but if I’m in a bind, I’ll grab hardboiled eggs, biltong/jerky (no sugar added), or cheese sticks.

Fruit, mixed nuts, jerky, boiled eggs. Keep it simple. Hard to find something out of a package that is actually worth eating.

Just discovered these. Nice add to the rotation.

For sure. There are a lot of protein snacks out there but they tend to be sweet cake or cookie imitations and they always have the weird fake sweetener aftertaste. These chips are nice in the mix!

You’re deployed on a ship, right? So it’s more about convenience than carry weight?

Banana, apple, cottage cheese pineapple doubles or a spoon of peanut butter

Oh yeah big on convenience, if it isn’t something I eat at chow, then it’s normally grab and go.

i wish i have enough money to buy protein bar but it does’t matter because whole food is better.Anyway, protein bar is a good source of snacks compare to sweet chocalate full of fats and carbs or junk food which are oily and salty leaving you wanting more.Honestly protein bar is a good investment but if you want to do it perfectly, eat real food protein…not for me though because i couldnt afford the bar but i actually consume whey protein daily and its cheaper
