Anything with Statham is worthy to be a favorite of mine. He was particularly good as Bateman in “London.”

Burke.
Hap Collins and Leonard Pine.
For those who wrote Drizzt, you might want to check out the Elric of Melniboné series by Michael Moorcock. I think RA Salvatore was influenced by the character as Drizzt seems the x-ray negative of Elric.
Jesus.
Just kidding, just kidding…

He’s my least favourite. ![]()
Ziani Vaatzes the abominator, from KJ Parkers Engineers Trilogy is an interesting fellow.
Solid Snake and his daddy.I didn’t play the game but the story lines are a trip.
Rambo. SAV POINTS!
Frank Castle good too.
Can’t think of many more

From your name, I would have guessed Roland of Gilead from the Dark Tower series.

He’s an old favorite, but somebody else already mentioned him. He’s getting to be kind of cliche, you know?
I thought I’d go with somebody new.
I’m gonna give a brief description of my favorite for people who don’t recognize who I mention and hopefully you guys will do the same.
Solid Snake: Black Ops operative who’s saved the world three times over and screwed by the government every time. A man’s man. From “Metal Gear Solid”
Big Boss/Naked Snake: Legendary Soldier, even more so than his son Solid Snake. He earned the title Big Boss by killing his mentor “The Boss”. Government used his DNA to create soldiers as good as he. Was the main villain in the first two Metal Gear games.
Thor: God of Thunder, son of Odin, and all around bad ass. Been in fights than Wolverine ever had and can take on the Hulk and win. So bad ass that I’ve read a comic where he arm wrestled Hercules and caused a earthquake. Marvel Comics superhero.
Martin Riggs: I tend to quote Riggs’s lines in my head on a daily basis. “What do ya say, Jack? You want a shot at the title?”. Bad ass Ex-Spec forces who becomes a cop, loses wife, and slightly loses his mind. His mix of humor, violence, and recklessness is great.
Robocop: Police cop who was gunned down and made into his cyborg. I get emotionally every time I see him walk through his old house and has flashbacks about his family. And then he goes onto kill people to great theme music.
Ryu: White Gi, Red Headband, and constant pursuit of something he can’t grasp. Street Fighter. THE Street Fighter character.
MD Geist: Genetically engineered soldier who knows only violence and loses control at times. Was betrayed by the military and sent into a space prison. Is freed accidentally and eventually gets his revenge by unleashing the Death Force upon the entire planet.

Beat me to it, Tom.
In lieu of the Swagger boys, I’ll go with McMurtry’s Gus McCrae.
BTW, I’m right in the middle of S. Hunter’s “Havana”. Have you read it?[/quote]
Yep, I’ve loved all the Swagger novels. I just like the characters, so it’s hard for me to say how it was compared to the others.
Dirty White Boys was also good. It had a little of the Swagger stuff in it also.

Did you read Black Light? It ties Dirty White Boys in a bit closer.
