I think the version of Scrooged you saw was the pornographic remake, which was followed by the smash sequal starring Jenna Jamison, titled “Scrogged.” ![]()
Batman Returns and Nightmare before Christmas, two Tim Burton Christmas specials for ya (although Burton didn’t direct Nightmare)
ROLFMAO Yeah! The one where Ron Jeremy plays Uncle Screwge and Jenna Jamison plays the Ghost of Christmas Ass. The non-porno one (Scrooged) with Bill Murray is good, too!
Pooh: I did not see The Majestic. But, as usual, I knew all about this flick long before it was released. And, IMO, it was Frank Darabonts attempt at Capra. And Carey’s attempts at Stewart. Both failed. Carey is a goof. Now, he was incredible in The Truman Show. I loved that movie. But, he’s best at bein’ a goof. As for Darabont; LOVED Shawshank Redemption. I don’t think he’s quite hit that level of filmmaking since that flick.
Oh, and thanks for the head's up on the next showing of Its a Wonderful Life. But you know? I'm more in the mood for The Ref. Think I'll watch it this weekend.....

I can’t believe no one has voted for Home Alone. I am such a sucker for those Rube Goldberg-type flicks where the bad guy trips over fourteen things and gets bonked on the head. My votes: Home Alone, Die Hard, It’s A Wonderful Life, Home Alone 2.
Too funny Scott! And Patricia, I agree with you 100%. Shawshank can never be outdone. But I do admire the style of his movies (hope/inspiration). And yes, Carrey was outstanding in The Truman Show. Yet another feel-good movie.
I would have to say my favorite movie centered around xmas is Die Hard. Not too cheery but it is set at xmas time. That is about as worked up as I get for this season.
You know…I was thinking…
“Hallmark” has EXCELLENT movies every year at this time (and throughout the year)…but I think that they “try too hard…”
Another thing sorta’ funny…their COMMERCIALS are often as good as the movies! (LOL!)
