Fat Tire

Check out the Boulevard brewery in KC. I have a six of Wheat and a six of Pale Ale in the fridge, and their Stout and Porter are awesome as well.

Can you order these specialty beers online?

The New Belgium Brewing Co. is right here in Ft. Collins, CO, and makes Fat Tire, Blue Paddle, Sunshine Wheat, and Abbey, among other great beers. While it’s too expensive for a college student, if you guys ever find La Folie (also by New Belgium), try it.

It’s about 18 bucks for a bottle (a large bourbon type bottle), but it’s damn worth it. During part of the brewing process, it’s stored in old wine barrels, giving it a crisp, cider-like taste.

For people who like smooth beers, try Mothership Wit. It’s a real creamy citrus flavored beer, goes down like drinking soda (not that I drink soda). Also, for whoever cares, New Belgium is supposedly more environmentally friendly in their brewing proccess than other major brands (Coors, Budweiser, etc.)
