'Fat Rights'

Ok, just to bring in a little comedy…

NAAFA’s POSITION ON FAT ADMIRERS (AKA CHUBBY CHASERS)

Based on anecdotal evidence, five to ten percent of the population has a sexual preference for a fat partner. Since fat partners are not considered attractive or desirable by modern American society, there is a high degree of stigmatization associated with such a preference. Due to this societal, peer, and parental pressure, individuals with such a preference see the preference itself as abnormal or shameful. As a result, most individuals who prefer fat partners suffer from self-doubt and often public ridicule. Many decide to stay “in the closet” about their preference because of this opposition. This denial of one’s preference may lead to a disruption in personal growth and inadequate development of social and interpersonal skills. It may also lead to unhappy relationships with average-size partners chosen simply to conform to society’s norms or to please parents, employers, or friends. As a result of this social stigma, relationships between fat people and their admirers are often unnecessarily difficult, and many people who could form happy, successful relationships never have the opportunity to meet.

… yea, I choose to fuck hot-playboy-esque women to please my mother and my boss, not because fat people are disgusting to look at, disgusting to feel up, smell like shit and have huge vaginas.

… seriously, have you seen a fat chicks vagina? its at least the size of a normal persons entire butt crack.

Yes and no, Hungry! LOL. I just found it odd that a race was lumped in with a choice or a handicap.

being blind is a choice?

Beast is very confused. The only choice is being fat. The others aren’t.
I am not confused, Christine. Notice I said “choice OR a handicap”. Come on, now…work with me here! lol.

It’s true, fat people hate children.

“We come in all sizes…
Understand It
Support It
Accept It”

I almost laughed out loud at that.
“Understand it”…how could I not, I see fat people everywhere, and I understand physiologically how people get fat. Ok I’m down with that.
“Support it”…Why should I?
“Accept it”…Guess we can’t control anything in our lives, huh? Must stink to be them.

That would be like seeing a kid getting all F’s in school, and telling people he shouldn’t be made fun of, he just doesn’t do good by the teachers standards, they need to be more supportive and accepting; forget the fact that he doesn’t study at all, and plays with his pencil instead of listening during class. His laziness is not his fault, he was born like that. A few hundred years ago they had a place for people with issues like this to go…the unemployment line.
and a few thousand years ago they had a place for people like that to go…dead

How the fuck did we turn into such a hand holding, coddling, wimp infested society? I mean, support groups for being fat? Jesus…

Heh anytime you’re in a support group, you’re acknowledging you’ve got problems. You don’t see support groups for people with “bigorexia”…why? Because big strong people are typically secure, so they don’t need the support of others. So if fat people really are accepting themselves and such, which is up to them, they shouldn’t need others to tell them they’re ok, because that indicates they inherently realize they aren’t.

You know, I was just about to… but now I don’t need to. Thanks.

I have a friend whose fat and can’t help it.

She was born with a dangerously active thyroid. The treatment was to slowly kill her natural thyroid and replace it with medicine (I’m not a doctor, and it doesn’t make sense to me either). After her thyroid was killed she gained about 80 lbs in the course of nine months, despite eating healthier and beginning to run.

Now, I’m not gonna say she can’t change her physique. But I will point out that it’s definitely gonna be significantly harder for her than for me or you.

So some people are fat because they have problems, and some people are fat because they don’t have a thyroid.

I can’t even describe the disgust I feel whenever people write stuff like this defending fat people as if they have their own race.

I don’t find “fatness” appealing in an aesthetic sense but I don’t see where that gives me the right to ridicule someone for being fat. Far too often people make jokes regarding fat people in an effort of self-aggrandizement.

The first amendment gives you the right to ridicule someone. You don’t even need a good reason.
You and your fucking bill of rights…

I believe your friend falls under the category of people with medical reasons for being fat, which does happen…albeit rarely.
