I meant the angle of the elbows during the push up.
Ever since that article came out I switched em to doing that way and I suck ![]()
Before I could knock out 30 at a time…I was getting up there!

I still do the T pushups - I don’t take every article in here like religion. Different hand position just means your targeting different muscle groups. I’ll try to remember the arrow hand position next time and see how it goes.

Ink - you did mention adding a bit to the bench, but at the moment I’m having a tough time finding my groove. 125 is heavy. I have no clue how I repped the crap out of 135 a couple of months ago. I know it will all come together soon and if it gets too easy I’ll add those weights.

You’ll def find your groove, these things take time. You pausing your bench reps, I hope? Really builds the “off the chest” power, which for us raw benchers, is everything. Well, not everything of course, gotta LWI too ![]()
Stay strong!

Hallowed - totally believe it. I honestly hadn’t felt his hungry in a long time. When I told the hubbie how much I was downing and asked him where the hell I was storing it he grabbed a quad and said they looked firmer and dense. sigh he deserves a sammich and beer. ![]()

That’s a good hubby right there. Keep him ![]()
Hard work and stuffing your face FTMFW! I’ve been doing the same and my weight is up a few pounds, but BF seems to be staying within my normal range. Iz growing moar musculs!
Oh I don’t have a meet until June. After North Americans in September I’m going to do a holiday Smolov cycle which should be a long trip through hell.
Nice lifting/eating!
Your log makes me so f***ing excited to get strong again.
Sheiko looks like an intense challenge. I think I will be squatting vicariously though you log!

I second this. I love when you get fired up because you have such a way of writing about it that makes it contagious. Thanks, lady.
I wanted to let you know I went through your old logs and your documentation of your first meet was super helpful, so thank you for posting that.

jeez! thanks, if you had any questions you can ask. Also Snap and Oro have a lot of knowledge and Ink still has that first time pretty fresh in his mind.
Did you come accross my list of things to bring? I could pm that to you.

Snap’s inbox hasn’t been quiet these days, I’ll say that. Thanks, I’ll definitely take advantage of that. The thing is, at this point, I’m not exactly sure what to ask?
And I didn’t see the list, but would love that, thanks.
On the quad-grabbing husband: that’s a good husband right there. You chose wisely.

x2
The new avi is awesome.
Oh hell yes!! Lifting, eating, growing - what more can you ask?!
And yeah, you got yourself a fine man!
Lovin’ the avi too! Gorgeous muscles!
I’ll repost the list here for lurkers and such. I have traveled and slept over night so obviously some people might not need to bring a pillow and such…
Meet List
Chucks
Knee sox
Change of t-shirt
Change of underwear
Deodorant
Water bottle
Singlet
T-shirt with no writing (not grey sweat stains - black is best)
Lifting belt
Wrist wraps
Mp3 player (check battery)
Energy pills (mine are super caffeinated - make sure you test your supps before the comp)
Lift attempts
Calculator
Foam roller
Wear pants/shorts not skirts (for trying equipment height)
Pen/papers
Conversion sheet kg to lbs
Plenty of juice boxes (went through 6)
Food to refuel - plenty of candy and quick digesting sugars
Camera
Gum
Hair brush
Extra hair bands
Toothbrush and paste
Face wash
Pillow
Addresses and maps to events and hotel
also notes to make the day go well:
1- bring a gym bag and ALWAYS put things back in it.
remove wrist wraps: put then back. remove belt: put it back. My first meet I spent a lot of bad energy just trying to locate my stuff.
2- The day does get long, the energy pills I used at my 2nd meet did a lot to keep me primed. I took 6 of them throughout the day: 2 pills 30 minutes before every lift. I DO NOT recommend you use anything for the first time at a meet, maybe try something this week and see how you react.
3- music is a big part of my headspace in the gym and I couldn’t reach it at the meet. Bringing my Mp3 player and blasting a little Disturbed Meaning Of Life in my ears just before lifting really helped.
4- prepare your numbers in advace and be ready to hand them in as soon as you walk off stage.
Today’s torture was 2.5 hrs. yes ouch.
Deadlifts pause at the knees:
155 1x3
185 1x3
205 2x3
230 4x2
Bench pause at chest:
80 1x6
95 2x6
100 4x6 - these felt strong and easy today. insert feelsgoodman.jpg
Dumbbell Flies:
15lbs 5x10 - not much love for these. bodybuilding voodoo again.
Deadlift:
170 1x4
200 1x4
230 2x4 - was hitting my wall. I always carry a scoop of protein in my gym bag in case and today I needed the extra fuel.
245 4x4 - damn the last few were tough.
Dumbbell Lunges: I can’t believe I’m still lifting at this point. I can hardly keep my balance.
25lbs 5x5
raclette supper at my bro’s tonight! nomnom
Wow, Mainy!!! Thanks so much for all that info!! That’s really great.
Training is insane! Water dragon, full force.

Here’s the 190lbs x 4 reps vid.
I also dropped the pins lower than usual in the rack today and felt a major positive difference in starting with the low bar.
I must say I’m very glad with my progress on this squat rehab journey. I’ve learned to sit back, to cue depth, my knees weren’t flaring. At this point I would say I need to work on chest up and elbows down… any other suggestions?[/quote]
I LOVE THE FREAKIN’ EFFORT! I WANT TO PARTY WITH YOU COWGIRL! GREAT JOB! KEEP IT UP!
